Re: keep clip view hidden
Just don't double click on the damn thing. Single click doesn't open anything. Cmd-alt-L close that area.

Re: Capture last take as recording
It's all in the title "Capture last take as recording". A take is a recording. So if you don't hit the rec button it doesn't record. If you're afraid to loose any little tiny magic bits of would-be-genious music, you can still record all of the time and then Undo. The other solution is to ...

Re: keep clip view hidden
devices or clip views ? It's not the same. In my settings the area remains closed even if i select a clip. Might want to check the "look feel preferences" > auto hide plugins Off If you Shift-tab it opens the areas and toggles between plugins or clip view. If You cmd-alt-L it opens or clos...

Re: HOW TO CUT A MIDI CLIP AND PASTE TO ANOTHER LIVE PROJECT ?
Open the browser, drag and drop the track with the ggod file from your other session, so the clip is at the right place then drag and drop the good file onto the other. Erase the unwanted track duplicate.

Re: Help Merging Two Different BPM sessions in one...
Yes indeed for the midi clip if i do a "select all" it can double or half it. Midi was the easiest part. It seems Flatten is not the good solution because it somehow include the effects without further possibilities to edit it. The consolidate function does some normalizing so it isn't the...

Help Merging Two Different BPM sessions in one...
Ok so I have an Instru session at 50 BPM (don't ask me why the click is so slow but it worked for the feeling long ago) So I premixed it so to record a Drummer. When recording the drummer I headed for 100BPM so it's better click for him (my premix unwarped so it is the same anyway) I've done some pr...

more than 12 aux busses !!!!
Big drawback today. Had to create many aux busses for multichannel theather diffusion and whatta surprise ! Only 12 aux busses in LIVE !!! WHAT THE HELL ? I have not read ANYTHING on limitation either in documentation or when buying the thing. GRRRRRR Ableton is once again overlooking the (sometimes...

Re: Top 5 things I will regret after going from Live8 to Live9
This is why the browser does not work well for a studio but works fine for the home user and why implementation of Max/MSP or the Glue compressor into the Suite package takes precedence over Plugin Delay Compensation and Dual Monitor Support. I think studio professionnals often bitch about finding ...

Re: Knobs in Ableton
In live you can just refine the range of the parameter assigned at a knob, or invert the range. When attributing midi (cmd-M) > open the side browser (alt-cmd-B) there you have the list of the assignation. For the way the actual hardware knobs react and send rotary informations it should be in your ...

Re: Top 5 things I will regret after going from Live8 to Live9
The primary reason I use live, is because i can write and mix music in the same environment that i will perform it on stage. ... for all of its flaws, live is the only thing available that does what it does. Yep. I think Live is still miles ahead of "traditionnal DAWS" for that exact reas...

it would be useful, when you have already warped very precisely some tracks (it is sometimes a long task), to be able to copy/paste the warp points to another track!

Re: multiple-track warping
and it would be cool to be able to warp together clips that don't have the same length ! (it seems that live consider as same length the original length (unwarped-unedited) even if it has the same 2bars (for example) selection...this is a drag.
