Select/play clips you want to record to arrangement

Now you have an arrangement without automation

I normally do the automation after I get the ararngement done

Simply press Shift+record again, then turn the knobs you want for automation (it's getting recorded now)

Just received my push 2. I actually forgot to plug in the power cable, but didn't have any problems with neither the pads or the display regarding brightness. I plugged it in afterwards and man, this thing is so bright I can't imagine that anyone has problems with it in daylight.

You simply couldn't use the pad slicing mode. Push 1 can now utilize custom device banks for Simpler (see changes for push, second row https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article/live-9-beta-release-notes/). Before this beta made it work, I had to use a max for live device called "AZ-LABS Pad Slici...

Pad slicing now works perfect on the new beta.. Just, wow. Powerful stuff.

Guess I'll wait until this problem is sorted out before I buy the push 2.. Seems like the biggest issue so far.
