Re: what is your opinion on the new envelope curves>

ive been rude with them several time, but cmon, evn if not the perfect solution it's not/ far to be USELESS, there have been big improvments over the double clic non curved previous version.. they will probably improve in futur, was too short to mess L9. imo stuff like PDC now we got cool automs and...

Re: what is your opinion on the new envelope curves>

personally i find its a smart decision, as we instant acces to log in or out, and with just adding a point (by single clic, no more double), we can get in ouf fade with all possible curves, so in a worfklow speed it's a good compromise for MOST cases, wich are not only crossfades but also fades in/o...

Re: level vst vs level track

live tracks got plenty of headroom, you can go far above 0 and the signal (as float 32) will not clip,
however it's a good practive to keep headroom and stay below 0, because most VSTs don't got input headroom and will clip at 0, same goes for master.

Live 9 and OSC

anynody knows if liveOSC would work on L9? it seems all liveOSC free stuff has been abandonned favor to commercial stuff... im so sad there are not really 'open' OSC planned and maintenanced for a tool such as live. but maybe im totally off and we won't need it any more with integrated M4L? can M4L ...

Re: Syncing (2) Abletons to (2) PCs - Advanced Help Needed

i would use the good old 'manual sync' : set same tempo, hit play on an empty scene with metronome style loop on each computer and nudge up/or dwn the slave till they are sync listening to headphones, once ready output the master, keeping nudge buttons mapped on a midi ctrl in case it later desync. ...

Re: Negative Reverb

most reverbs have a pre-delay, and algoritms seriously change the sound compared to dry, add/removing/transforming lots of frequencies, so phase correlation relating input doesn't really exist. i think you may hear a more pronounced effect by mixing a dry signal with an (inverted signal goign to rev...

Re: Purpose of 320kbps for analog DJing?

one other thing to mention, is that even if differences seems very subtle on mp3 vs wav or flac, they will appear more drasticly when 'processing' the file, like tweaking freaquencies. it's like .jpg vs raw. it seems every time fairly correct but as soon as you color correct or tweak levels the awfu...
