Re: Live 12 reference manual DISCONTINUED BOOOOOO

You know I was going to say you could search google with the tags for the specific part of the manual you wanted, but Google intentionally broke their boolean search tags, so it's near useless for this now.

Emailing them to get a PDF manual back is a worthy thing to do.

Re: Push 3S - List of Supported Control Surfaces

At this point, these are the ones that have been verified and should work with P3S: - APC Mini - APC mini MK2 - Launchkey Mini mkIII - Launchpad MK2 - APC40 MK1 - APC40 mk2 - Launchpad Pro MK3 Makes total sense, my Push 2 plays nicely with the Launchpad Pro MKIII, would expect most of the same cont...

Re: Ableton Live 12 Release

"I use a lot of plug ins but I will use this stock gear more." Staying totally within Ableton would simplify transferring and sharing files, and make it less likely to crash or have other problems. With the new synths and effects over the years, it's almost possible to stay entirely withi...

Re: A way to independently control Live with laptop/Push2?

Launchpads work fine alongside Push.
The Akai APC lunchers also work.

Another option is Ableton Link, two laptops and whatever controllers you want. Probably the safest option.

Re: Will we get a feature similar to Akai MPC STEMS?

I have an MPC and will definitely be using the stems feature. it's not all about demixing for DJing etc. my old band unfortunately lost the master tapes for our songs, all we have is mix downs of the few we did record, the guitar and vocals are burried, so any sort of stem separation tool is useful....

Re: Have M chips removed the Mac advantage?

There a few more variables than just speed here. The Apple Silicon chips use much less power and therefore get a longer battery life, and probably longer life in general. Yes, there is really no advantage to more Efficiency cores with Live, it will not use them in any significant way, but the M3 is ...

Re: Can anyone help read this crash report?

So right away if you want to understand what's going wrong, and get anything at all out of a crash report look at the first couple "paragraphs". It says: Crashed Thread: 86 Javascript Thread So, you would look for thread 86, but you only copy pasted the first half of the crash report, not ...

Can't see any problem with Ableton's pace. ? Someone didn't care about: recordable automation in clips full screen edit window commands polyphonic aftertouch MPE Track lanes comping System Exclusive messages universal LFO We got all those things (well SysEx is capable with M4L anyway), but not one ...

Re: Live 12 performance

not sure how it is now, but for Digital Performer 10, at least, the performance was utter garbage--to the point of being literally unusable with any third-party effects on a relatively beefy 12-core PC. I assume it's better on Mac, and better with DP11, but to the point about decisions not being ta...

Re: Live 12 performance

Hi, M1,2,3 apple silicon chips today have an architecture composed of performance and efficiency cores. This was known in the past as a big.LITTLE architecture and did not exist on personal computers, only mobile phones. Nowadays it's both on Mac and PC with Intel's latest offerings as well. This c...

Re: How do I remove Brand names from VST 3 Plug In list?

Darn. I guess I will just do that with the favorites. I know all the plug in names when I'm looking but keep drawing blanks on the developer when I am in the 'flow'. I thought I would just adjust but it's not happening. Thanks. If you know the plugin name the absolute fastest way is to hit "co...

Re: Deleted VST and VST3 Folders on Mac, Now Ableton Keeps Freezing When I try to save

Okay, thank you for this. I did this, but I think it might still be the OS? Because since I made the post, I've been experiencing input lag in Ableton (and to a lesser extent, my computer in general). For example, when highlighting a MIDI note or playing a note on my controller, the sound of the no...

Re: Extend the Upgrade Discount to after release.

I'm pretty sure the beta will open up to everyone before it gets released, so you should still get the option to try before you buy FWIW. Hope you're right on that. The wording pretty much says the price is good until release, and no mention of an open beta. I do seem to recall times when that's ho...

Re: Deleted VST and VST3 Folders on Mac, Now Ableton Keeps Freezing When I try to save

I deleted the folder -_- didn't realize it was a system folder You might have to reinstall Mac OS, that's what your issue is, and it's not on Ableton at all. Time Machine? you using it? Reinstall MacOS because of the VST folder thing? It made a new folder once I reinstalled a few of the plugins. Oh...

Extend the Upgrade Discount to after release.

Not complicated. Ableton offer a decent discount on upgrades, only if you buy before you have a chance to use the software, unless you want to provide free QA to them in the beta, and are lucky enough to get in the beta. I was in the Live 8 beta when everyone else was talking about how great it was,...
