DON'T CUT THE GROUND PLUG! Just get a ground lift adaptor from someplace online, they're dirt cheap. You can get them at places like Tandy, Radio Shack, etc too. As for the Indigo not causing noise at home, but possibly in a club, it depends. Most likely if you don't hear any noise at home, you'll b...

I agree on the zoom and snap functions, that is very annoying.

I've been using Live for about 3 months to DJ with and so far it's been more or less positive. I live in the Chicago area, but I play all over the midwest US as bookings dictate. I also use Live for my Live PA gigs, which are my main passion. My basic DJ set up in live consists of 5 tracks, called D...

I have the same issue with Live freezing at 99% of longer sets rendered at 24bit, 16bit works fine. I wonder if this has something to do with Windows file size limit of 2GB?

I use the Red Sound and it's ok for this, not really ideal. It does pretty accurately detect the tempo of a record, but at times it decides to speed up or slow down on it's own, and that causes all sorts of issues with Live. I use mine mostly to determine the tempo of vinyl as I'm recording it to th...

My vote's for the global implementation too. Right now, I use the mouse to do this by clicking in the tempo field, and then dragging up and down to match up beats with the other DJs. Doable, but not pretty. :)

Yeah that was my idea too. Would be nice if you could see notes about clips you're browsing in the ummm...browser. Would make it easier to use Live in my DJ sets. How about putting the notes in the bottom left ~ the help field area. Perhaps there could be a toggle button between the notes & the ...

I'd like to see Live 5 go back and relook at the "live" aspect of Live. It's definitely up to speed in most cases when it comes to studio productions now that we have version 4, but I feel the live control aspect has been sort of over-looked recently. There have many great ideas of things ...

I too would REALLY like a way to open the loop editor with a key command.

Z3ta+ is pretty much the only VSTi I use these days, replaced all my previous synths easily once I got to know it better. Yeah it's not a softsampler, so for that I would probably use NN-XT.

I had issues with the cardbus controller and my Echo Indigo causing the same thing. Turned out to be an issues with a "prefetch" setting on the ENE PCMCIA controller (typically not user adjustable). Echo was kind enough to write a small app that lets you disable this, and then everything w...

I just used a double braced keybaord stand with a piece of painted 3/4" MDF on top of it. Sturdy as hell and portable too.
