I haven't experienced any heat issues at all—no more than before.

I don't have a dual g5, just a single 1.8 processor, but it's a night and day difference between that and my tibook 800. I don't usually do a ton of fx (I use the sends mostly for that) and I upgraded my laptop hard drive to a 7200 rpm drive, so I can get quite a few (for a mac laptop) tracks going....

Neoverse mixed this, right?
Thanks for the props raapie. Yep, the mighty, mighty neoverse mixed the whole thing for me, as well as adding some sweet embellishments here and there as only he can!

Take care bro.

Re: Finally finished my album!! Produced in Live w/Reason

It took a minute or two, but it's finally finished--thanks in no small part to the propheads (reason) and the abletonians! aight. thanks. Congrats man! I checked out Rahlo's site before, there's some damn good music - there's nothing more refreshing than finding an island of sincere, intelligent, p...

Rahlo....checked your site and enjoyed your tracks. Beats and production were tight and flow was nice too. Good job. Glad to see other hip hop heads realizing the full potential of Ableton. I am an avid hip hop fan.....but only really get down with the forward thinking, intelligent stuff.....your s...

Finally finished my album!! Produced in Live w/Reason

It took a minute or two, but it's finally finished--thanks in no small part to the propheads (reason) and the abletonians! Every single bit of the production was done in Live and Reason (except for one older track that my dj made in fruityloops a year ago), and it was all mixed in Cubase. If any of ...

sadly no, the RME cardbus is only a means of getting the sound into a computer from an RME Multiface or Digiface. The cardbus only works with RME products, and the connection to the cardbus is unique to RME (I think--its not firewire, thats for sure). I think you may leave well enough alone since y...

ryan (or whoever else is familiar w/ rme products) , I've been looking at the rme pc card for my tibook. Is there an interface that comes with it, or is that something that you have to get separately? I currently use the 828 mkII, which as you probably know, has xlr and quarter inch inputs. If I got...

Montrealbreaks & everyone, Thanks for these posts! I'm a hip hop emcee/producer on the solo once again (my dj is getting married and moving back to VA) and have been trying to figure out how I could possibly do more in my live shows than just triggering full blown tracks from the Oxy 8. I ain't ...

BTW, what kind of choons are you looking for? Check out the link at the top of the post :D Basically its quite open but downtempo hip hop in the vein of quantic, bonobo etc is always good. However I'm open to all sorts of ideas. Is there a deadline? I have something that I've been messing with that...

Yeah, it looks that way. The Tascam US-422 has a feature that suspends midi until you get the fader back to its original position. Fader groups would indeed be very, very useful--just as markers in the arrangement view would be!

Anyway, thanks.
