ah... Do you know what a solution would be? I use the IAC pretty heavily to control both Live and SooperLooper. The delay is quite noticeable in 8.1.4. Perhaps every 3rd song I run, the delay problem pops up, which throws off my song sequencing (i.e. if a loop doesn't start recording, the song doesn...

anyone know if 64mb per instance of Looper (with no audio in it) seems about normal?

actually, there wasn't much help on that thread.

the Ableton Looper plugin uses 64MB of RAM on its own. So if Live by itself runs at 320MB, and I need 6 loopers....I'm in trouble.

here is a weird problem. i have a foot pedal button mapped to the metronome in every set, so that i can turn the metronome on at the beginning of songs (i wish there was a pref to make it stay on, by the way) in 8.1.4 i can no longer control the metronome with my foot pedal. i can see the correspond...

I think I reported this in a previous version. Occasionally there is a significant delay on midi notes that are sent over the IAC driver to control functions within Live. For example - quantize is 1 bar. - note is midi mapped to record in slot 1 - note fired on second half of bar 3 - recording shoul...

according to my activity monitor each instance of Looper eats up 64MB of RAM

so 4 instances = 256MB

and that's just sitting there with no audio running.

set has 6 tracks with no audio in them (i.e. looping on the fly)

3 of the tracks contain an Ableton Looper. i was about to add a 4th when the crash occurred.

whoa. a mega crash i've never had before. while adding a track, i got a "serious program error" that said "out of memory" submitted bug report, but i want to know if there is something widely known about 8.1.4...something i should avoid doing.... before i bring this set onstage ta.

I can midi assign the Group Launch Button when the tracks are folded. I cannot assign when the tracks are unfolded.

In MidiMap Mode, I can't seem to assign anything to a group launch button.

I can assign the group stop button just fine.

Anyone know?

I use dummy clips on bussed tracks to control volume and effects.

I sure wish I could put a dummy clip in the group master.

one factoid I'll add in case anyone ever does this.... If you're using IAC Midi to trigger actions inside of live, be very careful not to ever go into MidiMap mode while your set is playing!! Midi notes will get assigned all over the place, without you noticing, and then when you play your set again...
