Re: Ableton does not recognise my synth.

Update:

A friend of mine has the same synth but when he connects it to his Vista 64bits system the device is listed as 'sound, video and game controllers' in the device manager.
So now the question is; how do I get my synth from the 'Other Devices' tab to the 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers' tab?

Re: Ableton does not recognise my synth.

Dark Energy - very nice synth! On the Mac, does it appear as a device in Audio Midi Setup -> Midi Window? In Live, does it appear under any name at all in the Preferences -> MIDI tab? On my mac its visible at the MIDI/Sync tab of the preference window as input and output. When enabled at the midi-p...

Re: Normalizing an audio clip?

Thanks, I am aware of that. I just wanted to know where the function was hidden but apparently there isn't a function like that in Ableton (well, exept if you go to the trouble of rendering the whole track to a new audio file) I was quite amazed that this function is not yet available in Live since ...

Ableton does not recognise my synth.

Hi there, I bought myself a Doepfer Dark Energy and Ableton does recognise it on my macbook. Now I'm at home in my little studio and Live doesn't seem to recognise the Dark Energy. Ofcourse windows asks to instal drivers but there arn't any for the Dark Energy. (I did try that ofcourse) I looked at ...

Normalizing an audio clip?

Hi there!

I've got a quick question, can't find anything on the net or ableton help.

Is it possible to normalize an audio clip? I just recorded something but its rather soft so I'd like to normalize the whole thing.

Using Live instruments in other DAW

Hi there, is it possible to use the live instruments like operator in other DAWs as a VST? I can't find any info on this anywhere.

Re: Playing live without recording.

No midi! hehe, this is strange. So, I have C4 playing constantly. Monitoring is on 'auto' and Midi overdub is on. Now, if I don't have the track armed (rec. off) I can't play any aditional notes. I play my MIDI keyboard but nothing happens, exept for the C4 to keep on playing. If I arm the track (re...

Re: Playing live without recording.

Yes I've got overdub on but the only choices I have are: 1. let the already recorded piece play and play more notes but record those too. (arm the track) 2. let the already recorded piece play and not being able to play anything (record off, monitoring to 'auto or off' 3. not being able to hear the ...
