First on a macbook, and then on a mac G5 tower I have been able to replicate this problem: In arrange view, after setting a large-ish number of markers, the disk overload indicator kicks in, and pops crackles & stops are present. This only occurs in 7.07, but not in 7.05 Strangely I can only see...

Markers selected when created
When you set a marker, it'd be really handy to have it automatically selected, so you can then quickly name it just by using the rename shortcut. Right now, if you set a market while recording or playing back, you have to switch to arrange view and select it and then rename it - sometimes causing it...
