I use BBLean as my shell and mostly it works fine but the only thing that seems to clash with the BBLean skin is the closing dialogue (when you click X to close) - it seems to go weird and start multiplying all over the screen (doesn't do it when I exit by file/exit though) - if this could be fixed ...

Is there an option to start in arrange view instead of in session view? (which I hardly use at the moment)

Yes beziers would be the best approach (like in Podium). Some envelope simplification tools would also be useful - Live seems way behind on this and its annoying if I make a nice smooth curve by recording automation but need to edit one bit that as soon as I do with I lose the smoothness.

That's fine - I just want a copy on my laptop too (but won't be literally at the same time)

Can I just authorise on one computer or two (like NI or Mackie Tracktion) or more?

sucks I know, I was surprised they didnt fix this in 8 I'm especially surprised, since they did manage to add in curves for crossfades...seems like putting in that curve code should have been a logical step for automation!! So am I - this is really basic stuff. Looks like the whole automation syste...

I tried that but it only makes straight lines, not curves. Getting rid of the grid does help a bit - the resolution seems finer but it is still not as smooth as I would like

How come when I record automation curves they are smooth but if I need to edit them with the draw tool the result is always very steppy? Problem is that leads to steppy playback too. How can I get smooth curves like in other hosts?

Obviously automation needs fixing and improving but it's also clear to me that I haven't understood how to make the full use of what is there already and so I would like to read or view some tutorials that cover this properly. None of the ones on the site do justice to it though.
