Re: Live 9/M4L Default Object Colors
i use a custom color/font scheme when using max standalone, and was disappointed to see that default-themed objects do not retain their original colors when being copied into M4L - only the objects whose appearance has been overridden. so here's a +1 requesting support for custom default object them...

Re: Proper way to uninstall a Pack in Live 9?
my sense is that going go places > packs, right-clicking, and selecting Delete is the way to properly uninstall a pack. all the pack's content is stored in a package which you can open up and root around in (on a mac, just navigate to the pack file (by default in your Factory Packs directory), right...

Re: Looking for a specific M4L device
eric_c, i think the device you are looking for is kapture: https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/kapture/ can't vouch for how well it works these days. liine released a special python script-based version with an iOS interface that seems not to be being supported properly anymore, and is too buggy to use...

Re: Live 9 - Max for Live tutorials
perhaps OP is referring to the in-app tutorial sets that were in live 8? those just became available again with the recent release of the M4L Building Tools pack (which is basically a port of the similar building tools from live 8, plus all the M4L tutorial live sets). so first, make sure you've ins...

Re: Live 9/M4L Default Object Colors
if you change the Live's color scheme, it will change the default color scheme of M4L as well. live's appearance prefs now also have the ability to adjust brightness and hue separately, so that may affect M4L as well though I haven't really experimented much with that.

Re: M4L Building Tools Released!!
I suppose if you're downloading these just to use them as devices in your sets, they're not that handy, but the patches are invaluable for getting up to speed with the updated API, not to mention harvesting for parts when building your own devices. There's a lot that's changed in the Live API since ...

Re: Audio dropouts - my audio interface, full HD or what?
So I've confirmed some things:
- This problem persists in both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Live on my computer
- This problem persists regardless of whether I'm using my soundcard (Komplete Audio 6) or my built-in headphone jack.
Hmm...

Re: Can anyone explain to me how to the new Live 9 Library works
The folder names you can and can't use seem to be defined in the 'VirtualFolders.cfg' file in the Core Library, mine is here : C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Standard\Resources\Core Library\Ableton Folder Info\VirtualFolders.cfg You'll see each 'virtual folder' has a pattern associated with it which...

Re: Audio dropouts - my audio interface, full HD or what?
I just noticed the exact same problem yesterday! this has never been an issue for me in the past, even when running on a weaker computer with much more demanding live sets. this is happening on a very new laptop w 16GB RAM, an SSD, etc. similarly, I'm getting more artifacts at higher buffer sizes. a...

Re: Ableton Push: Questions & Answers
to julien and anyone else who's looking to hack the push's scale list (see julien's post about that here: http://julienbayle.net/ableton-push/#scales ), i've found this page of various scales - includes all the traditional western ones plus a number of so-called 'exotic' ones, many of which are not ...

yeah, probably safe to assume that anything available direct from Ableton's own 'Packs' library will be compatible.

Live 9 Compatible Devices?
as you know, many M4L devices no longer work in live 9. i'm ok with this - all the elements I depend on are either updated/improved for live 9 or things i can build myself. however, i haven't seen a list anywhere of which 3rd-party & community devices are confirmed to be compatible with live 9, ...
