If you still have these problems and haven't done so, please directly contact Support with this problem. You can do this from within Live, "Get Support" from the Help menu, which creates a status report with data we'd need plus shows how you transfer this to us.

Plug-ins have never been supported with Live running as ReWire slave due to a technical limitation: Plug-ins depend on the audio processing of their host (in this case: Live). But in a ReWire combination, the general audio processing is taken over by the ReWire master. So plug-ins can't be processed...

of course you can use Video in Live 8.4 beta if you're running the 32-bit version. Only with 64-bit, Video is not supported so far.
