Although you could, technically, transfer the library to his machine, he would only be able to open the presets that used devices that he actually owned. This means any of the Suite content would fail to open.

If you already have 8.2 installed, you can use the non-content installer.

Use the content installer if you're updating from a version older than 8.2.

We can't say anything, as always, about when a problem might be identified and when/how a fix might be available. ableton dont reacts on beeing polite..they react on to much noise in the user base..
