Just start DJ'ing with Live now and figure out a little bit different of a workflow than the one you're imagining. Then later on when the Serato/Ableton collaboration hits, you will likely have some new functionality that may make some of that preview stuff possible.

That's actually kind of lame. Making music by breaking away from the conventions of a hardware studio? That's one of Live's fundamental concepts and what sets it apart from Pro Tools, Logic, and all the rest.

Show me an ounce of original thought and I'll be intrigued.
