This device works for P1 and P2 for quite some time now.

I do use it ("remap" it) with M4L, though, so it's quite welcome to have "spare" buttons like this one (I'm counting the User and Lock buttons as "spare" too).

Soft arm lets you instantly play your midi track when you switch to Note mode.

Yep, M4L is a solution. I've made a patch that does exactly this. Unfortunately it's very much designed to my specific needs and wouldn't be of much help to anyone else in this state.
