If you don't mind a monophonic synth, I'd check out the evolver. I love it.

arturia jupiter 8 v demo

Has anyone noticed that the only thing you can't do with the demo is save and import presets? As nice as it is to save presets I could just be old school and write my patches on paper. It saves me a few bills.

Juno 106

I'm thinking about getting a juno 106. I'm mostly planning on using it for thick analogue bass sounds. Maybe some pad sounds too. Does anyone have any experience with the 106? Is there a newer analogue synth that would do the job better? Thanks.

I'm actually looking for a good analogue bass as well. I thought about going with something more vintage like the juno 106. At least it's analogue and has midi and is not as expensive as a tb 303. Does anyone on here have experience witht the juno 106? I hear the midi on some of those older boards c...

Do you think people using other DAWS would buy Operator? Its strength is its Integration w/ live. its pretty basic as far as FM softies go, lots more feature rich FM synths out there FM7, FM8, Sytrus, Octopus...Not trying to be rude, just my .02$ I agree that Operator is a rather simple FM synth. I think Ableton should open Operator and Sampler to work with other DAWs.

ProTools for mixing?

I recently purchased an mbox audio interface with protools le. I'm not really a big fan of working in protools but I thought that it might prove to be good tool for mixing my ableton projects. I am still a novice to electronic music production. Are the effect plugins included with Protools better th...

Organizing Live Sets for performance

Can anyone help me with any ideas on how to organize songs together for live performances? I'm just curious if people use the arrangement view along with the session view or only the session view. I know there is no right or wrong way to do this. I'm just interested in seeing what other people are d...
