Re: monome 256 for sale.
Just build one. Parts will run you about $150 maybe less. I plan on building an arduinome possibly. If I do I will sell my 64 for list price right here on this forum. I can't imagine charging more than what I paid.

I'm selling Operator and Sampler. Both are great instruments, however I just don't plan on using Live for midi production anymore. Should be a deal for anyone without one of the other or both. PM me if interested. PayPal only.

Re: Live 8 is a little too much for me
I've been beta testing Live 8 and I must say that I am surprised by my disappointment. For one my computer just can't keep up with the cpu demands of running multiple operators on say a drum rack anymore. I was really excited about some of the new features like the looper and the track crossfades. ...

Re: Live 8 is a little too much for me
I don't get how you can be A) interested in using ableton only for Loops, and yet B) never have much liked session view. If you don't like using session view, I frankly don't understand what's kept you using ableton this long, in place of just about any other typical DAW. sure, it's got other nice ...

Re: Live 8 is a little too much for me
I love session view, but I only like using it for live performance remix purposes. IMO it makes my sequences sound a bit contrived if I use it for composing. When I work linearly, I feel more like I'm stepping back and making an arrangement. Live performance is different from composition for me. Wri...

Re: Live 8 is a little too much for me
Right. I couldn't imagine selling off Ableton. I'm just not expecting to update any time soon. I think I've been guilty of waiting for that magic update and not working with the tools I already have. Limitations can be an asset for music production.

Lets Talk Monitors
I just recently had one of my KRK R5s drop dead on me. One day the amplifier decided to give out, and the monitor stopped making sound. So in the mean time I dusted off my old Behringer MS16 powered monitors and I must say that I like the flat frequency response from these much better. The KRKs, wel...

I might be one of the only guys on this forum who has no intentions or desire to own the APC. I'm perfectly content with my monome and remote sl compact controller. Between those two pieces, I already feel that there is little between myself and the software I use. People looking for a cheap Monome ...

Native Instruments has a knack for creating software that puts a snag in the creative process. In my opinion, most of their programs are just too top heavy. This new device makes no sense to me. It's just software trying to be hardware. Why not develop a stable program that is easy and fun to use wi...
