This is exactly what freeze/unfreeze are for. Try it out. You might also enjoy looking at the Dependencies window as well.

In the meantime, a clever individual could probably make use of live.remote~ to send amplitude-following data to other devices.

It would be great to know how you are testing this. Could you attach a simple patch here that shows what you are seeing (copy compressed)? I might also suggest you try out the live.param~ object for audio rate input from Live parameter modulation.

In my tests, Jitter works pretty well in Max-for-Live, with a couple of caveats. First, consider a Max Device in Live to always be in Overdrive mode. This, in a lot of circumstances, will reduce frame-rates a bit from what you are used to in non-Overdrive Max functionality. The second thing is that ...

By chance, are you using metro to drive jit.qt.movie? If so, try swapping out for qmetro.
