This is exactly what freeze/unfreeze are for. Try it out. You might also enjoy looking at the Dependencies window as well.

In the meantime, a clever individual could probably make use of live.remote~ to send amplitude-following data to other devices.

Every Max user develops their own style, and thus their own little toolbox of objects they never patch without. This selection is usually related to the type of thing they do the most. That said, I think it will be difficult to do much in Max without a basic understanding of these: select route pack...

It would be great to know how you are testing this. Could you attach a simple patch here that shows what you are seeing (copy compressed)? I might also suggest you try out the live.param~ object for audio rate input from Live parameter modulation.

In my tests, Jitter works pretty well in Max-for-Live, with a couple of caveats. First, consider a Max Device in Live to always be in Overdrive mode. This, in a lot of circumstances, will reduce frame-rates a bit from what you are used to in non-Overdrive Max functionality. The second thing is that ...

By chance, are you using metro to drive jit.qt.movie? If so, try swapping out for qmetro.
