Re: livid instruments who uses them?
My next controller will probably be a CONTRLR or a CODE. Livid is a great company, my buddy has an ohm64 and loves it. Wish they were a tad cheaper but can't have your cake and eat it too sometimes.

Re: Macbook pro RAM
what Tarekith said. Buying ram from Apple is basically like lighting a couple large bills on fire.
Upgrade to 8gb when you feel the need (or 16gb if you want, the newer mbp's can unofficially take 16gb)

Re: Simpler question
Hey, I've got a horn sample linked to the MIDI keyboard, so that different keys play the sample at different pitches. At least, that's what I'd like to happen. By default, the different keys change the speed, and not the pitch alone. Is there any way to change this? Cheers. I don't think so. I thin...

Re: Why do my MIDI clips no longer stay selected?!?
ST8's advice worked, i had to take my control surfaces using scripts off the list. I have to add it back though when i DO use Cliip/Livecontrol though.
red313, try downloading 8.2.7 and let us know how it works.

Re: Is sampler worth getting?
Multiple Samplers on chain selector in an Instrument Rack is how i do all my drum edits. I couldn't do what i do without Sampler. It's also going to be way easier on your cpu than any 3rd-party VST. It's very straightforward and easy to work with. I vote yes

Sounds like the best solution to me. Slicing presets are awesome but i've found they can only go so far.Jekblad wrote: slice each layer and then rack them up and use the racks velocity section

Re: Poll: iPad2 16/32/64 (shelf life 6 hours)
I don't really store much media on my iDevices, so i'm always fine with the smallest amount of memory. I would just get the 16gb, and spend the leftover loot on a screen protector and case, which will probably be an extra $50-$100. I'm pretty sure even if you put a ton of big apps on there you would...

Glad to hear it! The best thing about Sampler is that you can put like 8 bajillion instances of it in a track and it barely hits your cpu.timcogan wrote:Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up jumping right to Suite and very happy I did so. I love Sampler.

Re: How do I do this? (midi clips)
^that's definitely not an option in my scenario unfortunately. I will put in a FR though, maybe an option such as "tracks in group behave as if they were in one single column", or "stop all other clips in group when new clip selected", that way i could group all 8 of my columns a...

Re: How do I do this? (midi clips)
so why can't you use the full 8x8 of your launchpad? With my APC i could do this with at least all of the 40 clip buttons. Problem with the APC is, without hacking it, all your buttons are used up this way. The padkontol just has 16 buttons, so the launchpad should do it with its 64 buttons I can, ...

Re: How do I do this? (midi clips)
^yes that's how i'm already running the setup with padKontrol/Farmpad, but it only gives me 16 buttons to access instead of 64. It's ok, i'll live, but thanks for the help guys
