Anyone using a Push *and* a Launchpad?
I'd really like to be able to use my Push to remain in scale mode and control all my VSTs melodically, and use a Launchpad (or something like it, I have borrowed a Launchpad at the moment) to trigger clips. Have any of you peoples done this before? It seems like switching VSTs on the Push would mess...

Adding MIDI expression data?
I recorded some horn lines with my Push and some horns from Sampletank, but now I've got a breath controller and Mr. Sax and Mr. Trumpet, and I'd like to replace the original parts with these better sounds. I want to hang onto the notes, and use them to drive these other VSTs (essentially Kontakt), ...

Haters gonna hate, fanboys gonna fan.
Either way, this Moog app is the BOMB. Seriously, I've got a lot of musicmaking apps on my iPad, but this one sits WAY up top.

A keyboard inverter?
I was talking to a friend of mine who was a trained classical pianist before he spent a decade+ playing just guitar. Now he finds that he plays melodies more with his left hand than his right, and we got to talking about keyboard layouts to take advantage of that.... Can anyone think of a way to bas...

Re: iPad
MAME is an arcade game emulator.
It'll play pretty much any arcade game ever put out at this point. I don't know how modern it is, but at least up through the late 90s.

Re: iPad
A friend of mine told me that you can jailbreak an iPhone and get an app the can allow you to tether Internet acces without a fee. Is this true? If so, that's a much cooler dilly than being able to AirPlay stuff to a TV (in my book anyhow). A new work computer, Beats? I thought the "work"...

Re: iPad
I have an old XBox packed full of emulators, every once in a while I have to go back and play some Atari and Colecovision and Intellivision and MAME stuff. There are a few games (Master of Monsters on the Genesis, lots of Koei games for various platforms) that were truly epic and haven't been recrea...

Re: iPad
1) Go to jailbreakme.com in Safari on your iPad.
2) Slide the unlock bar to jailbreak.
I do know what you're saying, it can be pretty convoluted, but this method is pretty sweet.

Re: iPad
a jailbreak for the ipad 2 is out today. that doesn't matter here. none of these guys are interested in customization - they scoff at it in fact, they laugh in it's face and mock any OS that supports it. I dunno, as a Linux geek, one of my favorite things about my iPhone is that I can jailbreak it ...

Re: iPad
Yup, just by visiting jailbreakme.com in Safari, but honestly, having lived without a JB on the iPad for months now, I really don't feel the need for it.
I've always jailbroken my phones, and I couldn't wait for this JB to come out, but now that it's here? I'm skipping it.
