Guitar tabs to notation?
Hey I'm learning to play the keyboard (slowly), and i'm really into my rock music, but finding sheet music for rock is proving extreamly hard. Its all written on guitar tabs, which go straight over my head. Is there a program that can convert guitar tabs into sheet music or notes so I can get a 'fee...

Yeah, i've disabled all the power saving stuff, and I've adjusted latency up and down from 256 to 2000 and it doesn't seem to make any real difference. Its very strange. I'd like to be able to buy a PC similar to the desktop specs, they are only £300 or so now, and use FXteleport or something to run...

Ok, heres the performance test on my laptop.... P4 2.4 512mb ram 40gig HDD maudio audiophile/AC97 (no difference) I get 42 or there abouts, jumps between 39 and 44 occasionaly. I keep this laptop spotless, maintain it, tune it, tweak it, and care for it like a delicate child. My familys desktop POS,...

Did you read this quote from a beta tester, under 'quotes' Overall, what do you like best about Project5 Version 2, and how do you think you will benefit from the new features? “It's truly innovative... not a 'me too' product.” I have to say though, if project5 v2 is easier on the CPU use tha...

Thanks for the advice, I forgot to mention i'm also using an Maudio firewire audiophile, so the soundcard is decent with ASIO drivers, so I dont think that can be the problem. Running the free 'Karnage' synth from the DVD of computer magazine, one impulse and a neodynium compression on the impluse I...

Ram, will more lower CPU usage at all?
Hey, I have a laptop- P4 2.4 512mb ram HDD is 5200/7200 i'm not sure which. I find making music in live4 hard, mostly because I spend more time juggling CPU cycles than I do making the music itself. I use normaly two synths and two impulse kits, plus a loop or two i've rendered from a midi clip. So,...

I think traktor is a safer bet than ableton for DJing, with ableton you could play very badly or groundbreakingly well, with traktor its hard to go wrong if your a compitent DJ. I've used both in a bar setting to play hour/2 hour sets from, and I think if my future lay in DJing alone i'd be using tr...

Hi, a few things i've picked up from reading on the same sort of question. Firstly, do NOT power your audiophille card (m-audio firewire audiophille) from a PMCIA card, it'll provide to little power and give you a lot of headaches. Use the mains adaptor enless its plugged into a powerbook or a deskt...

Think i'm getting this. Got just the factory 'hip hop' loop going and playing 'junglist' on a midi keyboard (pcr30) goes rock solid for a while, then huge CPU spikes and the audio drops out. Weird thing is when I stop playing, lives CPU metre goes down to 20 or so, but the task manager says its taki...

pcr 30 keyboard not playing notes?
Hey.
I'm sure the answer to this is so simple no one thought it needed to be in the manuals for live or the pcr30, but how do I get the keyboard to play notes for a VSTi synth?
I cant use MIDI learn to do it, searches and the manuals dont give me anything helpful?

Set up a profile with absolutely no rubish in it, then when you use live boot to that profile and use another one for general use.

Hi I've got the following setup Laptop M Audio audiophille Roland MC 307 I really want to use this set up for DJing live, using the pitch slider on the MC307 to sync live to vinyl records and taking the output from the 307 into a channel in live so I can use it for making loops and mixing those in t...
