Re: Strange "phantom" MIDI signal
I guess you need to set your keyboard to 'local off' in this scenario. Was that the case?

Re: Help me O elders of ableton
The behavior I get with a single mapped parameter is that the undo data only gets added after I've let go of the knob or slider whereas every single value increment gets added to the undo history when multiple parameters are mapped. True, and I use 'cmd + Z' quite often as well after sweeping a par...

Re: Help me O elders of ableton
It seems logic behavior to me. You map one encoder to two different parameters, hence when you turn the encoder, the software registers all values twice in the undo history, and it registers this in time. So you turn that knob "10 clicks", and it would only seem logic that the undo history...

Re: Default Gain Staging of Clips
Indeed! I don't understand either. I guess it's a remnant of the beginning of DAWs (16bit, noisy convertors,...), and a mixup of scales and techniques. everything peaking at 0 dBFS, and then leveling with faders (end of chain) = bad everything at 0 dBVU at the input stage (and throughout chain) = it...

Re: How to create a set without ableton modifying the bpm of the songs globally
leave warp on... put each track on separate scenes and name each scene "xxx bpm" where xxx is the original tempo of the track in that scene. fire the scene and Live will jump to the tempo you typed in when that scene/clip starts. delays will follow, depending on delay choice/settings, this...

Re: Send a MIDI Note to QLab
I'm definitely no expert, and use QLab maybe once a year. The one time I had troubles with QLab midi, was because the laptop QLab was on had gone to sleep. After waking up the computer, QLab midi just doesn't work anymore, although everything else seems to work (audio and video is fine after sleep)....

Re: Stop Clip Rules
launch mode of your clip: legato copy clip to next scene, then select "stop" in follow action dropdown, and set position where the follow action needs to happen. like this, when firing the next scene, your new clip will start playing from the position the original clip was at, and stops wh...

Re: nativeKONTROL - ClyphX Pro - OUT NOW!
How about the 100ms delay when using snap?
In the beginning of ClyphX, I was really exited, but Snap not being quite 'snappy' put me off, quite frankly.
Still like it though! I set up my old faderfox LX1 to do all sorts of menu stuff. love it for that.

a fairly easy to understand 'scientific' approach trying to explain sound quality of the OUTPUTS. As stated earlier, inputs are a completely different story.

Re: Live 10 Auto Track Naming
would be nice if out of the blue a revamped Rack would pop up. It amazes me the concept of Rack hasn't been expanded on. I'm fed up resorting to obscure scripts, max workarounds, or whatever. That is time consuming. Give us Racks with 16 controls (or user defined), selectors, sliders, buttons, switc...

Re: WHy does sampler initiate filter and lfO?
I know you said you know how to 'make a default sampler', but does it mean you did the following? drop an empty Sampler on a track from the browser, does it have the lfo engaged? if so, turn it off, (or turn down amount/send levels of the lfo). right click on the Sampler header of the device, and ch...

Re: Scarlett 2i2 and Shure SM57 very low volume Live 9
an SM57 10 inches from an acoustic guitar? usually you put an SM57 close to a guitar cabinet, just over a snare, in front of the bell of a trumpet,... big noise makers. you need a fairly loud source to drive that mic. for an acoustic guitar, ideally you'd want a nice condenser (the 57 is dynamic), b...
