Re: I've a MacBook Pro, do I buy an iMac too?

if processing power is not an issue you might be happy with an external display and spare the change for hookers I already use an external display, and from when I use it the machine is slower, I always have too much memory used (with Ableton Live opened I always have less than 1gb free), I think i...

I've a MacBook Pro, do I buy an iMac too?

Hi guys, I own a MacBook Pro 13" from 2010, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz - 4gb DDR3 - Intel Graphics 256mb. I have the chance to buy (used) an iMac 27" 8 months old, 3ghz, i5 quad-core - 4gb memory and AMD 5750 1gb for 1300€. It was the most expensive (€2000+) before the latest Mac upgrades. No...

Free Soundset for U-HE ACE VST

Hi guys, I've been always interested in ACE, so today I downloaded the demo and tried it, I really loved it, mostly for its vintage feeling. I made a free little ambient soundset using the demo, there are 5 pads and 5 plucks for a total of 10 sounds, you can download it on my website at http://www.n...

Re: FLstudio will have a session view !

brilliant I deserted Fruity Loops for Ableton many moons ago but with this, and mac support, i may move back, or at least run them both. imagine line deserve more credit for FL than they get... it is great software. Mac support? Where? I don't think it will be never supported, I was a FL Studio use...

Re: Synthesizer as a midi keyboard and controller for Live

Why not the new Novation Impulse? Dunno. Any idea how it works in practice? I always had Novation controllers and Keyboards and they are good IMHO, it works with Automap (now v4), that's good for integration with VSTs. Or, another I had in past, really really good, is the CME series. There are diff...

Re: Synthesizer as a midi keyboard and controller for Live

Ok this looks cool too: http://www.thomann.de/pl/fatar_vmk161_plus_organ.htm, I dont't see it has ableton preset though. I wonder if it has better keys compared to above mentioned synths.. Also there is actually some integration problems between lil phatty and live. Why not the new Novation Impulse?

Re: Synthesizer as a midi keyboard and controller for Live

There's nothing different about the midi notes either of them send. I've been using an Alesis Ion as my primary MIDI controller for quite a while. The slight benefit with dedicated MIDI controllers is that they generally have some additional types of controls (knobs, faders, drum pads, etc) though ...

My Projects Videos (for my next album)

Hi guys! I decided to put, instead of a static image background as always, a video of Ableton Live running my new tracks. It's just something to let see people the way I work in Live. I'll upload new videos everytime I create a new track. | Need a Name - Depth Link: http://youtu.be/6PK7hfTG-Vk?hd=1 ...

Re: Arturia spark

I use Spark routing each of its mixer tracks to Audio tracks in Live, because I prefer Live effects, plus I made a "default" template (project) in Spark for using it with my own samples, in this way I like it, honestly I don't like so much its included libraries.. I make patterns in Spark ...

Live 8 MIDI Setup for Access Virus TI2

Hi guys, I already asked this in Access forums, but I'll try to ask here too. I'm trying to figure out how to setup the Virus TI in Live correctly (MIDI related). Virus MIDI devices appear as "Virus TI Synth" and "Virus TI Midi". In Live, there are 3 options for Input and 3 optio...
