thanks for the update. that's similar to what i do but i map the individual clips, not the generic track trigger. would be curious to know if anyone managed what i described. ta.

using a bcr2000 and this upgrade

can anyone using a bcr2000 please confirm this: place 2 midi clips on the same track, trigger mode is toggle, each being triggered by a different button on the bcr set to toggle on too, so that when you fire one it lights up and when you click again to stop the same one it dips. with this new thing ...

i just don't buy into files...vinyl, cds, dvds, it's all good. buying a file is just not comfortable yet. soft synths, sequencers and effects being the exception :)

aye, don't get me wrong, not arguing with you, i'd like to hear other opinions about this as it seems to go be going that way regardless (ie: performace against recorded) but I do not agree with it as a model. currently I still only buy vinyl and would be well pissed off it all the choice I had left...

the preview in live is not "the orginal" sample, it is stretched to fit the project tempo. Simpler does not timestretch (specifically it does not auto warp to tempo). if you want to play with the original sample so that it automagically plays on time you'll do as I suggested or as machinat...

you can't in simpler.

drop it in an audio track, map it to a key or a range of keys and trigger it thus.
