I'm also not experiencing CPU degradation compared to L9. I've seen more posts of people running older Intel processor versions that do not seem to be affected as much as others (i'm running a 2013 i7-4770), wonder if it's related.

Seems Mac related, i have not seen reports of Win users.

This issue was reported by several users on the beta forum, best to file a support request (now that it's released).

I don't see a reason for keeping local backups of packs and just grab them from the site when needed.

Font option would be the nicest option, as it's kind of personal. Having said that, give it a little time, my initial response was very much like yours, but after many weeks working in the beta, it really grew on me, and i don't want to go back anymore (the L9 font really feels heavy now). Not sayin...
