Re: Can't hear Audio sound from Windows&Youtube while using Live
Both my hz are 48k but i still cannot do anything. I do not have an interface yet which is what others are saying will help. Do you think if i get an interface it will make a difference? When you say "I cannot do anything", could you be more specific? Sounds like nothing is working at all...

Re: How to correctly route input MIDI channels to instrument MIDI channels without tons of individual MIDI tracks?
Looks right to me. This is exactly how I set this up using Kontakt or UVI Workstation. The stand-alone versions of these instruments (the ones I mentioned, at least) have the routing selections built into menus, so you don't see them broken out individually as tracks, but I can't think of any DAW I'...

Re: Plugin Menu System
Try switching to vst3 where you can. It does this automatically (it's part of the spec, as I understand it). I've been switching all my plugins as they become available. Kind of the opposite of what you're thinking though, because vst3 forces all the plugins to be installed in one common folder. So ...

Re: multiple templates
Creating multiple Template Sets In addition to this “master” default template, you can create additional template Sets for different types of projects, each with their own unique configuration of tracks, devices, etc. To do this, create a folder called “Templates” within your User Library. Any Sets...

Re: Stop adding silence at the beginning of imported audio
This has already been asked and answered in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=102691&sid=aef7b5ae ... 1d329129ee
The silence is caused by the way mp3s are encoded. It has nothing to do with Live.

Re: Multiple tracks using same instrument
I know that this is possible with the routing, but each track uses different midi clips, so it's not possible to send the same signal. I have used a bunch of midi tracks that are using same multisampled for instance guitar samples. Of course I can copy the same multisampled instrument to another tr...

Re: Grouped Tracks & Exporting Stems Problem
I can see why it works this way... in a real recording studio, the stem would be a print of the group, not the individual tracks inside a group. The group is what gets sent to one channel of the tape, in the old world. In cases like the one in this thread, using sends/returns seems like a more "...

Re: UVI Workstation Integration as VST Plugin
Yeah, vst3's are different. They are standardized to install in a specific folder that Live understands. Unfortunately, UVI Workstation is not yet available as vst3. vst2's don't follow any particular standard. Live only allows one custom vst folder (although that folder can have subfolders). On my ...

Re: UVI Workstation Integration as VST Plugin
Yeah, that makes sense. The .dll file would not normally be installed in the program file of the plugin. Because UVI was installed some time before Live, Live can't find the .dll, which was tossed in some unknown location. I can't remember specifically, but UVI Workstation might be one of those prog...

Re: Offensive neighbours decibel level
Laws are different everywhere, but in my case, it came down to "reasonable accommodation". I had been living on the top floor of an urban loft complex for a year and a half when a dance club moved into a vacant space on the ground floor of a building that backed up to mine. Although I had ...

Re: UVI Workstation Integration as VST Plugin
Can you provide more info? I use several of the UVI Workstation collections (especially the Tines Anthology for Fender Rhodes sounds). The fix might be reinstalling UVI Workstation and then selecting a specific location for installation, rather than the default.

Re: Dragging audio onto a midi track and making it quick swap to an audio track
Must be a special command of some kind? Dragging audio onto a MIDI track prompts you to pick what sort of MIDI conversion you want to perform on the audio. Anybody else see anything different?
