Id say gearslutz for hardware, kvr for software. The majority of my software has been bought second hand on kvr, usually save 50% going that route

Re: Bitwig , Live 10 , PDC etc ,,.,,,
My stump speech on Bitwig is that they didn't find the right price point for me anyway. I'm thinking more along Renoise, or in the photo editing world pixelmator, where other developers have made modular, cleaner objects and give you a hell of a lot of value for it. Bitwig just doesn't have the con...

Re: Anyone using cableguys filtershaper?
I like it for the reasons you mentioned. I also like the visual feedback, always find that helpful to immediately see whats going on. There are enough modulation options to basically do whatever you could really want, just make sure to sync up the library and start browsing through all the presets, ...

Re: Pitch glide/slide Sytrus VST in Ableton 9?
The fl glide in their piano roll only works with their instruments. Much like bitwigs per-note stuff its specific to the daw and the instruments that company makes. So its not like you could take any vst synth in fl and have the piano roll glide work

Re: M4L Stability
Had a crash last night with j74 progressive. Had a clip running and while holding down the mouse button to adjust a knob in progressive my entire box just rebooted on its own. Sent the report to ableton. So this was a bit more than just a crash, it was entire reboot. No blue screen or warning win8.1...

Re: Cthulhu VST
cthulhu isnt a sequencer, it needs a note input to tell it which chord set to play. Thats expected behavior The switch at the top next to the speaker is the latch, so that will hold whatever key you last hit, but theres no way to just trigger one automatically, how would it know which one you want t...

Re: Presonus Cinco De Mayo Deals
It's a great program, but you'll be limited to not using vsts. The upgrade to producer is 99 bucks which is more full functioned. However, you can find it for that price anytime at the KVR marketplace. I've seen the full version go for as little as 120 bucks. That's why you buy it now, then wait fo...
