two tracks don't have to necessarily be in the same key and scale in order to sound good together.

this can happen when you start live9 while live 8 is running. close both, start only live9, presets and instruments should be there again.

I miss the quick access as well. I often do clip volume envelopes. Now I have to open two drop downs in order to access that, makes no sense.

maybe you have midi record quantization turned on, which will mess with the swing of the source.
