Re: Fix to "Max For Live only sends on channel 1" issue?
You can send MIDI via Live to different channels of an MFL instrument. The channel data will come through correctly.

Re: bpatcher not a'common' object or... ?
Yeah the docs do seem to be wrong/inconsistent in this case. Usually, people set bpatcher UI state with the offset message. It's like you are scrolling the patch inside the bpatcher. If you want it to be "hidden", scroll it to a blank part of your patcher. The Loopshifter device contains a...

How about we change it to

Re: Why does Gregory T use autopattr in M4l
It seems a hard thing to present clearly.I'm not doing that well at it either. The object works fine in MFL devices, just not with the parameter system. If you want your pattr parameter to appear for modulation etc, then you have to use an individual pattr object in each instance. Hope that makes se...

Re: Why does Gregory T use autopattr in M4l
It does not work to use autopattr to create pattr based parameters in your Live set, but works normally in a vanilla Max context.
I couldn't actually find that reference in autopattr's docs, where did you see it?

Re: live.observer bug ?
No it's not a workaround. Your original patch had logic which defeated itself.
I think you'll find this will work fine. You may be able to decrease the amount of delay a bit to make it more responsive.

Re: live.observer bug ?
Dunno if it qualifies as a bug, maybe a patching subtlety. Does this work for you? Your act of selecting a note with the mouse was triggering a deselect in your patch. <pre><code> ----------begin_max5_patcher---------- 687.3ocuV1zbaBCDF9L9WgFtzKtdj.wGt2Ru0Y5gduSlNBXisZAIFjbRbyj+ 6UR.sDGbMNw3wyvBqWDu...

Re: Saving Live paths with pattr kinda works - maybe?
Given that the Live API runs inside of Live's GUI thread currently you're never going to be able to pelt it with data and keep everything smooth. That idea of yours sounds kinda interesting, let us know how you get on with it. In Max 5.1.5 we are adding some options for reducing parameter data flow u...

Re: Saving Live paths with pattr kinda works - maybe?
I had a bit of a look at Mike's device. I'm not sure exactly why it might be not restoring correctly, but I think finding out why would involve a lot of playing with the patch code. Here's my contribution. Using a method like this, abstracted, stuck in poly~s etc, I have been able to solidly restore...
