I've got something close to what i was looking for with this session: http://i.imgur.com/WCxXV.png
But its still not exactly the way the tutorial did it. Does that look familiar to anyone?

Re: Need help finding an old tutorial
Hmm... could be something like that. I'm not sure how to achieve that. Is it mapping the key ranges and having some overlap?

Re: Need help finding an old tutorial
Thanks for the reply. I found that tutorial in my search but its not the one i'm looking for. From what i remember it was an instrument layer that had an instrument layer within it and multiple instances of Chord/Arpeggiator/Operator. It made a really cool evolving arp sound where one seemed to trig...

Need help finding an old tutorial
A bit of a strange request, but several years ago i remember seeing a really cool tutorial on this forum. It uses the Arpeggiator, some Instrument Racks, Operators and some other devices to create a sort of cascading Arpeggio effect. Problem is i'm trying to figure out how it was done, but I'm not h...

Re: *sigh* A Skrillex Sound I Want to Make
I haven't been to these forums in over a year and i come back to this? Jesus.
Graham, i can't help too much but say that there's a ton of formant motion on that sound which is fairly typical of dubstep. I'm not sure how he obtained it but i'd look into that.

Re: Reverb Quality
Epicverb is pretty nice!
If you need the best sounding reverb you probably have to get Altiverb.

Amplitube is better than Guitar Rig.kvitamin wrote:Yah Amplitube rocks, too bad it is practically useless with ableton. It will crash the program everytime you use it.
and I use it all the time in Ableton without it crashing.

Re: Question: Rendering as Loop
yes you can do this easily. say you have a rendered clip that is 2 bars of rendered music, and you want bar 1 to be an intro and bar 2 to loop. drag the rendered music into ableton session or arrange view whatever you prefer. go to the clip view and make sure the clip is set to warp and set to loop...

Re: Question: Rendering as Loop
by rendering i mean Exporting to Wav.
is there a way to mark a D.S. al Coda in a wave file in Ableton (or another DAW), so that a player can know to loop back to a certain point, which is not necessarily the beginning?

Question: Rendering as Loop
i'm trying to render a few loops i've done for a video game. the problem i'm having is that i want the song to start and then loop, but i don't want the loop to be from the start, but from another location after the start. basically a D.S. al Coda. is there a way of doing this in ableton? i thought ...

Re: OT:official (enough) vidya game thredddd - HALO 3: ODST
I dl'd Trials HD for Xbox 360. It's basically a modern day Excitebike and it is AWESOME!! So fun and addictive! The Hard and Extreme tracks are just ridiculously difficult, but still fun. It's a 2d side-scroller in a 3d high-def environment. The physics in the game are insane as well! And the best ...

Just want to mention that Assassins Creed 2 is amazing! A vast improvement on the first and an all around great story. Anyone tried it?

Hey Tone,
It sounds fine but it looks scary. Running at 48kHz. Could the US-428 be a poor AD/DA converter? or could it be that running the 57 without a High-Z converter causes lower resolution?
