Cool man, looks like I did the right thing. Just got a little overzealous and jumped in without reading the rules. Your topic addressed my issue, so I thought it best to piggyback on that rather than start a new thread. Though my issue differs from yours. We are all here to rock beats and squash bugs!

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like I have my answer, I'll run it by Ableton as well for the hell of it, but it does appear that Live's punch in/out feature does not function as one would expect it to in a classic recording sense. To respond to the questions/suggestions: -Rave: Nope, I mean reco...

Thanks for the reply Possu. I do grasp the concept of multiple takes in Live, and it seems like a very cool feature. But that is not what I am doing. I am recording (printing) a single mix of the whole song back to itself. I do not want to do multiple takes and I do not want it to record past the &q...

Does Punch in and out really work?
I've been printing lots of mixes lately, so I have gotten in the habit of walking away while it is recording the mix. The Punch out is set safely several measures past the last audible sound, so all should be good. Except that Live is not actually "Punching Out". It keeps recording. What a...

Yeah, when you posted that suggestion I thought it had to be it... I could rebuild the sessions or I could continue working around them. Yeah, there is automation as well as CC assignments in the sessions. it makes me nuts when I hit something like this that should not be happening! It's a Waves L3 ...

Thanks Timothy, another fine suggestion from the Southern Hemisphere... Custom VST folder is not activated in the preferences. But I went the next logical step, and deactivated all plugs, relaunched, and attempted to delete the missing limiter from a session. Still crash city... I tried this a few t...

Thanks again Homebelly. I believe your suggestion will work, to an extent... I've done what you are suggesting before, and it will copy all channel/clip data EXCEPT Returns, which are a big part of these sessions. You are correct, it will not copy the master channel data. I knew this was a problem m...

How do I delete a plug in that I do not have in my system?
I did a few searches in the manual and the forum and found nada... I have a session that started on a different users' machine. It had a limiter on the master bus that I do not have on mine. It shows up as the generic plug with no parameters to adjust, but if I so much as click on it, it crashes Liv...
