Re: guys,i really need your help on this one...

The option should be with your keyboard. If you are using the keys on your computer those should already be at a fixed velocity...no?

Re: Hooking up MBP to JBL LSR4328P studio monitors

That sucks! I thought I could just connect it straight and be done with it…guess not. Thanks a lot for your help guys! I am not sure I want to blow another $160 on a converter box plus cabling just to get the luxury of getting the sound in stereo. If anyone has any cheaper alternative so that I can ...

Re: Hooking up MBP to JBL LSR4328P studio monitors

So tone deff, if I connect the one speaker using the digital signal and than use the out from the speker to connect to the in of the other, would this give me stereo sound? or will it just take the audio from the first speaker and just play it in the other (not stereo)?

Re: Hooking up MBP to JBL LSR4328P studio monitors

I actually did, the thing is I that the speakers are connected via a cat5 cable and I could not find any info to tell me if this would carry the sound to other speaker. So you think that if I use a mini-tosslink plug (into the Mac) than get a SPDIF tip and hook it up on there other side which will g...

Hooking up MBP to JBL LSR4328P studio monitors

I own a 2.5 ghz Macbook pro (Unibody). I have also just purchased JBL LSR4328P studio monitors. My question is quite simple really, can I connect the MBP to the monitors using a digital signal in stereo? I know the MBP has an optical out but is this stereo? The speakers have digital in but I would n...

Re: Ableton 8 Mouse Issues

Yup. Im having the same issue on the same computer with the same mouse... Not by though and not unibody mbp I am in the same boat with the same problem, the same mouse and not only in Ableton. I got a black MacBook from last year (this is also when I bought this otherwise very nice mouse). When I g...

Ableton 8 Mouse Issues

I own a Logitech (V470) bluetooth mouse that I use in Ableton 8 on my Macbook pro (unibody). However, ever since I upgraded to Ableton 8 from Ableton 6 I am seeing issues with the scroll wheel on my mouse. When I scroll slowly nothing happens in the ableton window. If I scroll fast the screen moves ...

Confused about pricing...

Please help me answer some questions. Currently, I have live 6 boxed. I am trying to figure out if it is a better idea for me to purchase Live 7 Suit or wait for Live 8 Suit. When I check how much the upgrade to live 8 Suit (Boxed) is I get a quote of $459 USD. On the other hand, the upgrade to Live...

I playing the exact same scenario in my head. But I think I will hold off for 8 since they could potentially release it in say 2 months and than we would not get an upgrade for free

I want to go beyond 999 because I need the sound eventually to turn into a single tone. At 999 bpm you can still hear that it is a beat, albeit a very fast one but still a beat. I need to crank it up to the point that the beat sounds as a single tone. If you watch the video I linked to, it is easily...

Tempo question

I have a question with regard to tempo. I am not a complete noob but I am a beginner user of ableton. My question is how do I create a breakdown where the song (or just the kick/snare/or any other sound) speeds up extremely fast and then drops back to the original tempo. I understand how to use the ...
