take a saw-wave and put through overdrive or distortion fx. should work. then play with cutoff (any value will do) and resonance settings (set rather high) and play in legato.

that's how i did it on my microkorg anyways.

you probably know this but it's not mentioned in your post.

setting the envelope attack of the amplitude a bit higher like 10ms will mostly get rid of clicks resulting from too fast envelopes...

it's just so disapointing... it's almost embarassing  and it's not the use of sampling per se... it's the lack of creativity. sampling and remixing can be rightfully considered an artform in my book. but this... i wouldn't even dare to release anything like that. it's cheap, period! Wel...

so they steal all the songs through samples...and they dont do anything live but twiddle a few nobs...why so revered? Not all , just the notable ones. I can't express how much I dislike these no-talents. Great! Please stop trying! The Daft Punk sample sources have been & should be posted around her...

don't forget not only Underworld got hit. also security guys and regular folks attending the festivities. so boycotting the regio is punishing A LOT of innocent people! a targetted action against this anarchist group would be more apropriate... like a headhunt... and roasting them one by one on the ...

i have a poly evolver rack coupled with a Nord Modular G2. now that's magic! the nord is especially very well suited for minimal glitchy stuff (not to forget it's capabilities as kick-ass drummachine synth too)... combine with true analog fatness squencerlines on the poly evolver and there you have ...

so what you basicly have to do is make a midi-loop. first search in the manual how to turn off 'Local', this means that when you play the µKorg keyboard, you won't hear sound anymore because the (local) keyboard is 'diconnected from the soubnd engine. however the pressing of keys does send midi note...

audio problem in ableton

i have m-audio delta1010 audiocard. when running live at 96kHz-48kHz in-out sampling rate i always get little cracks en jitter en noises, not very loud but clearly present. latency settings do not help, cpu is far in the green. the only remedy is running in 44kHz. then the sound is clear. i h...

Re: Aphex Twin techniques...

well, see, people have been talking about production techniques.... ..thats not the same thing as performance. Have you seen aphex twin perform ? I have, he performed with two decks - and played records. Some of his own tunes, pressed on vinyl. Other 'live' (laptop) performances of him I've seen on...

i own yellow tools independence. the product is very high standard quality. very pro. the reasonyou don't hear too much is because they are not good at customer support and decent comercialising. you use it to make film scores, classical music etc. butthe fun part for me is the flexibility and contr...

(3) The Spaghetti Monster "problem" is not a problem. Human society has never, to my knowledge, posited the existence of the SM--whereas the majority of humans have, since the beginning of time, believed in some form of creator, prime mover, or God. A first cause that stands outside of nature. That...
