Re: Mac vs PC
^ yep. refresh is your friend. Same thing if I have the idea for doing something on the Launchpad while I don't have it plugged in - I don't have to close down live, plug it in, restart live, reopen my set. I just have to plug it in and go to town. this ^. this is undeniably the best thing about a ...

Re: Mac vs PC
You could also just buy a copy of osx and do a hackintosh on your system if its close enough to mac specs. Then you get the best of both worlds, osx for 30$ and you didnt have to spend anything on hardware to get there

Re: Live 9 Suite Upgrade Price Drop FINALLY
I saw this too, but it was after I had purchased the $299 upgrade. I emailed Ableton and they said that since I was logged in as purchasing the upgrade, the $234 was reflective of my price IF I wanted to buy another license. So yeah, the $299 upgrade price still stands, I believe. If it went down t...

Re: New KORG MS-20 mini w/ USB - What can it be used for?
I figured its just for midi in/out so you can use its keyboard as a controller or feed midi to it, just like alot of analogs that have usb. That way you dont need an actual midi interface, which isnt that necessary anymore since alot of new synths have usb, and its one less extraneous piece of hardw...

Re: Upgrade to suite
i really can't see how asking another 250 is fair bearing in mind i've recently paid 220 for Live 8 anyway. Logic's upgrade system's better than this. I didn't buy the lite version it just wasn't the suite. For some reason i just thought that the upgrade wouldn't be this daft if i did fancy it Well...

Re: Upgrade to suite
^This Originally I just owned vanilla live, then started jonesing for sampler. During one of their sales it came to the point where I could just spend an extra ~50$ and get the whole suite vs. only getting sampler. At that price point its basically a no-brainer to just get suite. So as long as the s...

Re: Is there a way to convert AU to VST with a Mac?
If you want an all-out chiptune solution this is the big daddy
http://www.plogue.com/products/chipsounds/
But theres also the free basic64 and paid basic65 from delamancha
Or as suggested use a square with a fast arp if you dont need something fancy

Re: How to make VSTs and Internet browser work at the same time?
I didnt think asio4all could do this anymore. It did many years ago but at some point they pulled that ability out and then many forum questions ensued It just depends on your soundcard drivers. I do this with my audio kontrol 1 so the NI drivers can do this, hosting an app using asio while the wind...

Re: Beta Sign Up open!
The obvious way is to just look back at the previous times the beta slots were opened (by just looking at forum topic posts) and then just go to that page at that time, its not that hard, I looked back and saw it was on thursdays at about the same time. Checked the website on the next thursday at th...

I have geist, synth squad, and etch. I see it with their current releases but have also seen it on their betas and on previous versions, so I would think you can see it with just about any version you have there

Re: Midi Keyboard?
its really personal preference, go to a store and try em out I own an mpk25 and an axiompro49. They keys on the mpks are alot springier than on most keyboards and I find the axiompro to be a nice balance. At this point since the keys are springy and the pads are useless the mpk sits pretty much unus...

Re: Graphical issues - seen on fxpansion plugs
huh? This has nothing to do with cpu, im on an i72600k and can get this to happen with absolutely nothing running, just having the plugin opened. Besides that there have been plenty of others on the fxpansion forums showing this. Like I said, fxpansion have already said this is an ableton issue, jus...
