Re: ableton, your website..

Just like the Ableton interface is nice and clear without lots of fiddly 3d effects. Anyway with the windows 8 metro intrface coming hopefully we will see a move back to simpler cl...

Actually QUANCE you complain about sarcasm but I think this forum has been rather gentle with you (as it is with most people).
There are plenty of place where you would get much harsher treatment.

Re: I'm thinking of starting a course in programming - advice?
Having worked in IT for some time here are a few comments: I don't think your age is a problem. If you go for a basic skill (like C or Java) it shouldn't outdate too quickly. There are always new versions of these languages coming along but the basics of the language stay the same. Once you have the...

If you own Absynth there are some interesting resonator effects some of which sound a bit like drone strings. Just been having a play.

Re: Guitar through ableton- anybody emulated a sitar before?
I thought of another way to do this but you would need a pitch to midi connverter. Set up an audio track and a midi track. Process your straight guitar sound through the audio track. On the midi track set up scale device > a sampler. Cinfigure the scale device so that only the notes you want to repr...

Is Bitwig a hoax?
I just watched the Bitwig beta video. The first thing I though is that someone has got Live, changed the colours and moved the stuff that was on the left to the right.
