Skrillex is on record as liking Operator. Like him or not he's a big enough name to be counted as serious. Operator is in fact insanely powerful - only 4 oscillators but each one is a 64 partial additive synth in itself with lots of modulation possibilities.
Analog I can take or leave.

Re: Bank and Program change sending to external gear, how?
With Elektron gear you can also send pattern changes using notes on channel 16 (pattern A1 = C-2 on my Analog Keys). Since patterns also determine kits this will also change the patches for all four of the tracks on an AK. I imagine it is similar for the other Elektron boxes. It's a bit weird becaus...

Re: using a drum rack and playing keys simultaneously
Can your keyboard separate the note signals from your drum pads from the note signals from your keyboard? As far as Ableton (or any DAW) is concerned a MIDI C1 from a drum pad is the same as a MIDI C1 from a keyboard unless you can find some way of differentiating them. e.g. Can you assign the drum ...

Re: Loop in Midi editor not working.
The loop button at the bottom left is clip looping. If you drag the clip on the right or left side with the button on, it will create a linked series of loops similar to the loop tooltips in Pro tools or Logic. It also turns a clip from a one shot to a loop in session view. If you want to loop in th...

Re: Updating to Live 9.7
When you open them they will open in 9.7 and when you close them again you will be prompted to save them so they are compatible with 9.7. You can overwrite the old projects or save them under a different name. I generally overwrite the old projects, it isn't as if I'm going to downgrade to an older ...

Re: Need to open sets faster at gigs. Use a 2nd computer?
Yeah that makes sense. It's still cheaper than buying another MacBook though.......
I've always had an issue with changeover time. The giant set is the best option I can come up wiht but I can see it might not work for you. 20 seconds doesn't sound long but it's a lot of dead time onstage.

Re: Need to open sets faster at gigs. Use a 2nd computer?
This has always been an issue for me. I have tried two solutions 1) Buy a cheapo sampler such as the AKAI MPX-80 to start the loops while Ableton is changing over. With a bit of practice it's possible to turn off the sampler and turn on Ableton reasonably seamlessly (although I never got it perfect)...

Re: Volume greyed out
Tracks now default to monitoring off when you record them (I think the sssumption is you will be montoring directly via your interface for zero latency). Turn the monitoring to in (if you want to hear the input) or auto (if you want the track to behave according to the older default where recordng o...

Re: Apply autofliter in a whole song with 6 external outputs
If it's 6 outputs you'd need to add the filter to each output group or bus as the audio presumably does not share a channel at any point. If you want to control them all together I think you'd have to map using MIDI learn, or find or build a Max device that would control several channels from one de...

Re: Analog stereo oscillators
Oscillators sync on startup, but if you pitch shift one oscillator and then pitch shift it back again, the phase does not stay constant. Try it if you don't believe me. So if you truly want to have a different phase L-R rather than any of the other solutions that suggests you could set up a clip at ...

I think the OP meant Ableton couldn't detect the VST, not that the VST couldn't detect sound. I might be wrong about that I suppose.....

Re: Auto Tune VST for Ableton
Auto tune works fine in Ableton. Something else is wrong here. Are you trying 32 bit VSTs in a 64 bit instance of Live or something like that?
