The Lazy Snake electric piano plugin from the same developer seems really nice too. And the ersdrums drum synth too. No samples. Just drum synthesis.

I just upgraded Synthedit to the new latest version (0.9564) and re-saved my sequencer as a vst, and host-sync works now! The version that didn't work was 0.9562.

ok...
If you want to avoid having to move the playhead, then instead of selecting a clip or a section of time and hitting ctrl-space, just click the point in time that you want to start playing at, and then hit ctrl-space. Forget about the playhead completely.

Don't hit ctrl-space. Ctrl-space only plays the time you have selected. Press space.

Host sync with Synthedit vst plugins worked until Live4.0.1

I've made a couple vst plugins in Synthedit ( http://www.synthedit.com ) which sync to the VST host program (Live) - one's a step sequencer, another is a little sync tester, etc. The plugins could "host-sync" with the Live 4 Betas and even Live 3.0.3, but not Live 4.0.1. I just noticed thi...

There are two reasons why Bidule doesn't do it for me: No audio input from Live, and no midi output back to Live. No midi output from vst plugins is a limitation of Live though. I agree with deSelby... > "Live4 should allow VSTs to output midi and open up the midi routing paradise that is energ...

Midi output from VSTi's has never worked, not even during the beta. I sure wish it did though. I made a little drum sequencer in Synthedit for Drumatic which worked great in Bidule.

I'm having the same problem with showing/hiding in/outs, but there's a twist: Reason's audio only comes through at all when I'm in the Session view of Live. If I switch to the Arrangement view, the ReWired tracks go silent, and sometimes the horrible buzzing occurs. If I delete the mixer in Reason w...

3 is faster for me.

Live 3 runs quicker on my 800Mhz Pentium 3 with 256MB of ram than earlier versions did.
