system restore points disk space

Yesterday i took some information from my local computer shop about a larger 2.5" harddrive, 120 or 160 GB billion bytes (as 1000^3 and not gigabytes as in 1024^3). In the new year i will buy a new drive i think... The Wind-OS just needs a lot free diskspace for System Restore and so on, not so...

I live the Racks in Live 6, but Live 5 was WAY more stable. Damn is it only me where Live 6 is behaving like sh*t, crashing 20 time's a day for no reason at all?

Change the message

Live is not shut down after the message box is closed.

Can you change the text of the message box into:

Code: Select all

Go to Windows Task Manager and kill the Ableton Live Process.
Because this is the only true text phrase for this one.

Off / On

Thanks!

I created the file Options.txt in the provided path and the content of the file is:

Code: Select all

-UseFileSystemCacheForReading=Off
I'll try what will be, i can also use "On" in stead of "Off"? Because "On" was the setting i used in Live 5.2.1 at the time.

why KRK?

I don't understand why people like those KRK monitors. I think they sound dull, not transparant enough and they lack linearity. But don't let yourself be disturbed by my words.

Client-Side Caching also on Samba

ilms wrote:hmmmm, unfortunately whilst I'm using windows on the client-side the file server is running linux. thanks anyway!
Ask the system administrator, Samba (Linux to windows fileserver) also has this Client-Side Caching feature.
