Re: Should I delete old version after updating?

Hi, you can delete the old versions if you want to. Live installs a standalone version on every update to make sure you can revert to an older version in case the update causes problems. If everything runs fine, simply uninstall/trash the old version. This won't affect your settings or library, as l...

Re: 2 instances of each vst with automap 3?

no, no way to hide them.
Live sees them as two different plugins when they are wrapped.
If you don't use them with automap, then you can run the automap plugin wrapper and deselect them.
Then they will disappear...

Re: 2 instances of each vst with automap 3?

Hi, Automap wraps plugins into a shell so that they can be used with the automap functions. Automap wrapped plugins appear twice - one time as wrapped version and one time as normal version. The automapped version is the one with (automap) behind the name. So, yes, it is normal and if you want to us...

Re: Live Version 7.0.1 will not open

Hi,

Zygi meant to update it to the latest Live 7 version:
www.ableton.com/latest_versions

That is free if you have a legit Live 7 serial number.
If it still happens when using the Live 7.0.16, then please send your crash logs to support@ableton.com

Re: controlling external drum machine

Hi cjhpdx,

every midi clip in Live can send a program change. You can find the settings for that in the clip view, in the notes box (bank/sub-bank/program).
check the Live manual for bank/program change!

Re: ableton with more than one midi out sync

hi mattian,

the amt-8 sends sync to every port, even if only one port is activated.
if you activate to ports, the clock will be sent out to all ports twice which doubles the tempo.

So, activating only one port should be enough!

Re: Lost bar - help!

Hi SimonStuart,

sounds like you have activated the full screen mode...
Press F11 to toggle the full screen mode on/off.
On some notebooks you have to hold down the fn key while pressing the F11 key to get the F11..

Re: LFOs awful on sampler + auto filter (especially for bass)

the LFOs on sampler squeak when you modulate the filter on bass tones, and they produce SERIOUS volume jumps and artifacts when they are running quickly on a sub bass. the LFOs in autofilter don't go all the way up and down, and produce huge peaks when set to 1/16 and with the cutoff near the botto...
