I've used Live to create soundtracks before with no real problems. Its useful to easily stretch or shrink sections to fit the video cut but just be careful about the loss of audio quality. Over warped audio sounds a bit pants imho. I usually throw things together in Live and then do the proper seque...

The Audio Unit format was designed by Apple to be a common platform for developers. A Mac-Only standard. Thats it. This is why you should get better performance from them. Personally I haven't noticed any significant benefit to using them over VSTs so imho, it really doesn't matter. As I said, some ...

Genrally speaking, Audio Units will use less CPU as they are better integrated into Apple's Core Audio. However, you will find that sometimes a plug-in comes only in the VST format so potentially you'll end up with a mixture anyway. Either format will work well but you will get slightly better perfo...

I'd be tempted to re-do all the sound. I've done various Foley/Soundtracking jobs in the past and I'd say you're better off recording the track again and then monkeying around with it to make it sound live. All the suggestions regarding reverb and eq are quite correct. Sound replacement if done prop...
