Re: subtracting waveforms?
the noise you're trying to eliminate is random. if you wanted to eliminate a 10kHz sine wave with a known amplitude that's doable. well, even then there's some dither in the analog to digital sampling that adds randomness to the signal. most sound sources have a lot of tiny randomness to them. even...

Re: subtracting waveforms?
isotope rx, waves xnoise, soundforge noise reduction, cool edit has it too
you feed it a bit of just the noise, it will analyze it and remove it from the recording to a certain extent
you could also use cool edit/wavelab spectrum display and do it manually

Re: Pitch Bend Scaling
just do the math and rescale the enveloppe? if 0-8192=0-12 then each semitone is 683 select the whole thing and lower the 8192 points to 683 and it will bend 2 semi on a 12 semi range since clip enveloppe select everything, select all, lower the top to -6827 (it will scale the bend downs) then desel...

Re: Multiple external instruments
my whole set is based on that, 1 midi interface with 1 port (at the moment) and a soundcard with 22 inputs to get all my hardware back in live no need for multiple MIDI outs, just use different channels on each device but i suggest using a thru box, using midi thru from device to device adds 4 ms la...

Re: Mashup acapella issues
if the acapella is from a digital source, just warp it by warping the original track while having the acapella selected too, it will put warp markers on both files if it's coming from an LP or analog tape, you will need to match without warping to align the vocals to the original (tape and lp are no...

Re: Post your rock solid PC or Mac config and audio card here
late 2011 MBP, i7 quad 2,16 4 GB ram 500 GB hd MOTU traveler live 8,2,4 32 samples buffer gives me a I/O (roundtrip) latency of 2,2 ms (and a idle load of 6%, 35% when playing and teaking al knobs i can) which is just ok to play live using live as a mixer and sequencer for my hardware synths and FX ...

i'm all fo rthis feature, i miss it a lot from logic, i was just saying, even people playing their real instruments can use live for composition, and that feature is a must when composing/arranging
