Re: Problem
Yes, that might be the key.
Thats why I asked him to check the ins and outs carfully.
Just for the sake of completeness: Other Audio Effects behave the same, right?
Edit: But when this is a microfone signal, it should be possible to process it with the EQ, right?

Re: How to use properly the "edit" into an external audio editor
Don't get me wrong. I am not sure if it works that way at the moment!
I rather wanted to say how it SHOULD work on my point of view.
I also used this feature rarely because it is somehow complicated, as you said correctly.

Re: How to use properly the "edit" into an external audio editor
I don't see, where this can be made easier with an external editor than this: 1. Click "Edit" 2. Edit file in external editor 3. Close editor, it should promt if you want to save changes, choose yes 4. File is automatically saved and replaced with the new version (in Live) All this without...

Alternatively, you can setup your compressor as in the screenshot and save the preset, if you just want to have this one.
Edit: Oops, you've already done it. Sorry.

Re: Problem
Now when i put the EQ the sound is still running but the EQ isn't working. Is not changing anything. Its irritating that you get a signal through channel 1 of your audio card. I think you should check your input/output setup and your audio card (which one you have?) for "direct monitoring"...

Re: How to use properly the "edit" into an external audio editor
Yes, the file should automatically be replaced, when the external editor is closed. And maybe a backup file should be created to undo changes...
This would work very well, does it?

Re: Problem
Emm that is because you have no Instrument between Chord and EQ8 (no instrument = no sound)! This is why the field "Drop Instrument here" is visible! You might have replaced it by dropping the EQ. Make sure to drop it AFTER the Instrument! Edit: Where it says "Drop Audio Effect here&q...

Re: external synth midi notes wont playback
Check if Lives per channel monitoring setting is right. I think for external signals, it has to be "On".
Did you try using the "External Instrument" Device? I found that one quite handy...

Re: Live 8.2.1 - Where is "Gentle Squeeze"??
This sounds more like a preset than a device. Did you look through the audio effect rack presets? Of course it could also be a preset of a different device.
But unless you own Max 4 Live, I am sure, there is no device named "gentle sequeeze".

Re: How to use properly the "edit" into an external audio editor
Isn't it possible to just "save" (not "save as..."), so that the file in live is refreshed according to the changes made?

Re: How about a better forum?
Thats a big issue! Just think about those "help please" or "my Live 9 wishlist" threads... English a language that is, after all foreign (in the sense of not-native) to many people here. That makes it difficult for those people to specify their question in few words. But it makes...

Re: How about a better forum?
Maybe it is a good idea to cancel the Technical Help forum then, in favour of more content for Answers?
It does not look like a very good idea, having 2 ways of asking for help....

Re: How about a better forum?
This place could use a tagging system in addition to a search system, I think that would help a lot with feature requests and questions about specific features. This sounds good. A long time ago, I already complained about the weak search functioon we have here, that is so simple, that it often doe...
