More seriously, I think what you're after is the launch quantisation setting, and it's found near the metronome button in Live (you can't natively change this setting from Push, but there's options with M4L if you have it).

Your sequencer is doing it s magic AFTER the clip level, so if you need to record its midi output you have to do it on another track:
add a 2nd midi track and set your "sequencer track" as its midi input
arm this 2nd midi track
record

In the meantime, please make sure to report your findings to support@ableton.com, that'd help a lot.

It might sound like a stupid question, but are you sure it doesn't have automated parameters that you've automated without noticing?

There's no easy straight way to do it (mainly because Solo can't be automated).
