Re: DJ Mixer Fader Start to Midi

Duly noted, I'm sure I can come up with a use for that.

Devious! Cheers.

Re: Render audio to disk - rather sloooow

If you've got the time and patience, I'd say try deleting a few tracks at a time and rendering, by whittling them down you should be able to see pretty quickly if there's a certain chain or plugin that's giving grief, as the progress bar should start up quicker (so you wouldn't have to wait the hour...

Re: Note Mode for the APC40 - Python Scripts

Thanks for the update, and I'm for the shift+ option if it's not too much trouble too.

Re: Note Mode for the APC40 - Python Scripts

I'm downloading this instantly, amazing work! It's kinda disheartening how inflexible the APC40 is out of the box, especially when Live is. I appreciate the way it works with Live is bulletproof as standard and that has it's own perks, but the way you can hardly assign anything yourself without brea...

Re: Crossfader on the zero sl mkll wont map!

Make sure you've got the Track/Remote settings correct on the Mk2, If you've not got the Remote button lit on the correct midi input it won't work. Also you might have to be in a non-automap template. I flogged my Remote SL for this kinda piffling about!

Re: CPU and warp marker fun!

Maybe a separate clip with the loop's tail underneath... that triggers with a follow action?

Re: Going mental, need help

Try creating a new empty track and dragging the clips over to see if you can play them.

Audio or Midi btw..?

Check in the I/O section that the channels are in auto or off mode... ie not "in" mode.

Re: my knobs twitchy

Encoders get jumpy when they get dusty... much like I get jumpy when I have too much coffee :D

Give it a spin for a while, hopefully that'll move the dust. Maybe step it up with a quick vacuuming (if the knob's glued on tight!)

Re: are there sine waves in analog synths?

Not usually, no. Subtractive synths remove harmonics from a waveform. With a sine wave having only the fundamental frequency, if you filtered it it'd just get quieter as the slope of the filter swept over it, then be gone as the filter passed it. No fun! You can get around this with some synths usin...

Re: :2 *2 buttons greyed out in clip view

It's worth checking the clips are warped, you can't do anything major to their audio unless the warp button's up and running.

Just go to export track in the file menu, in the top dropdown there should be a selection for all tracks individually...

Re: What is the fastest way to hide automation lines?

If you've got Live 8, try selecting all the track headers (ctrl+a when one is highlighted) and clicking the little arrow you usually use. I'm not sure if it'll work but it does on a surprising amount of things, not just volume. Fingers crossed!

Re: Velocity editor in Clip View has no effect

Following from Zalo, feed the midi from the arp into a new midi track and record the arp's pattern on it. Then you can access the editor to tweak velocities, and subseqeuently dump the synth on the new track. Fiddly but worth it.
