Re: Ableton Live 9 and Machine 2
I do love Maschine and basically use it as a (ridiculously expensive) sketch pad. I play guitar and consider myself a "musician" so I value the ability to play an instrument. That's why I love Maschine so much! It feels like an instrument. It's something that I get better at the more I pra...

Re: Ableton Live 9 and Machine 2
@BeatsME- I totally agree. I have been trying for years now to use Maschine in my workflow. It's just always seemed like I was forcing it. I don't understand why NI can't make it easier to use Maschine inside a DAW, or sync w/ Traktor, or just function as a drum kit on 1 track in a DAW. I want to LO...

Re: Ableton Live 9 and Machine 2
yes it's possible to import MIDI from Maschine into Ableton, but, and this is a huge ass butt! Why would you want to? The easier and IMO far superior solution is to trigger Scenes in Maschine from Ableton. Maschine will change Scenes when you set it up to with MIDI notes fired from Ableton in eithe...

Re: Roland MX-1 and Live
Yeah it sucks that it has these different modes and you lose functionality or gain functionality in each mode. It's just a hardware mixer with step sequenced effects for me. Fun to play. I've recorded via audio cables into my interface.

Re: Novation circuit
The same could be said about that old piece of shit known as the 303. If everyone thought like you we wouldn't have any music. I can't wait to get a circuit but I am admittedly a groove box junkie. I think it looks awesome.
Don't like it? Don't buy it?

Re: freezing w/sidechain WOES
Yes!!!! LFOTooL is pretty awesome. I keep it on a return channel in my default set to send anything to it. It's like parallel side chain compression. (lol, if thats a thing.)

Re: Drum Rack 128 Issue
Sustain is a db value, -inf to 0.0. I'm talking about the UNIT of the release parameter when dragging, it starts in "ms" as in milliseconds, then goes up to "s" as in seconds. Just try it out and watch what happens. - On the other hand, if you want to enter numerical values from...

Changes to "s" ? As in sustain? Sorrychrk wrote:... that's 50 ms, then, the unit changes to s when you pull up above 999.Theo Void wrote:The release was default at 50.

The release was default at 50. I haven't tried map to siblings. Let me try this.

Drum Rack 128 Issue
This is potentially something stupid that I'm missing. Anyway, I'm making 128's and for some reason all the drums are short sounding. Like, as if the decay were down, but it's not. Also, mapping the decay (like I always do) seems to have no effect. It's really pissing me off because I can't see why ...

Re: Komplete Kontrol 49 - Live 9.2
I guess I haven't really checked out the key switches and stuff. I may have to sit down w/ just my Maschine and KK and see what I can come up with.

Re: Komplete Kontrol 49 - Live 9.2
Yes. The sequencer could use a lot of work. I get the whole "groove box" vibe but Maschine is much more than that at this point so they should update the sequencer accordingly. In arrangement view in Live I do a lot of fills and automation ramps and vocal bits at the end of 8 bars or 16 ba...

Re: Komplete Kontrol 49 - Live 9.2
That's one of my goals too. I have yet to even use the scenes in Maschine. I use it as a sketch pad and then drag n drop. I hate how the sequencer puts those those ghost clips in when one clip is shorter than another. Transitions are difficult to make. The sequencer needs some work. Or maybe they ju...

Re: Komplete Kontrol 49 - Live 9.2
Works fine for me although I had to redo the KK setup after I upgraded to 9.2 Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Prob need to re-install the script. thanks YES, it is a killer combo w/ machine stand-alone but, for me, a bit un-necessary. I've tried to find the perfect Maschine work-flow w/ Live but...
