Re: What would you like to see in Push in the future?

The ability to step sequence more than 16 bar patterns. Maybe shift and touchstrip to shift through banks of bars like you can with the drum rack? Lmiting patterns to 16 bars seems to be an unnecessary restriction.

Re: Who is actually happy with the direction Ableton is going?

I purchased Live 9, and I am extremely happy with the product. To put it simply, what sold it for me was the following: -Ableton finally implemented spectogram on the EQ Eight, so now I don't have to rely on VSTs to do proper EQing. And oh did I mention full screen EQ'ing ? Are your ears untrained/...

Re: Browser 9 - Individual drum hits?

Thanks Funken, very helpful! Would still prefer it if the raw samples and adg files were separate. Also, it seems all the clips in the browser are all lumped into one category.

Browser 9 - Individual drum hits?

Maybe i'm missing something here, would love to be corrected and told the new way to do it, but.. In Live 8 Browser it was great to be able to go through different drums sounds grouped by kick, snare etc. You could for example open a drum rack and replace individual pieces easilly. In Live 9 browser...

Re: Loading Sets From Hardware

[*]One scene per track, with tempo and time sig in the scene name, i.e. "120 BPM 4/4 <song name>" (Live will pick this up and automatically change tempo and time sig - neat little trick) [*]I use clip envelopes to control chain selection (1% = chain 1, 2% = chain 2, etc.)[/list] Snugsound...

Re: Loading Sets From Hardware

Snugsound:- Thanks for the reply, some good tips there (I didn't know the time sig/temp in name trick.. cool!), guitar rig will indeed respond to program changes. I will have a play around with this approach and see if it can work for me. Ideally what I really want to do is load whole ableton sets/p...

Loading Sets From Hardware

How do you guys load set's on stage? Here's the scenario:- Planning on doing a series of gigs with myself playing guitar (through NI Guitar rig in Live) and most songs will be different tempos and sounds etc. I will also be making tweaks to synth sounds/filters/ and changing arrangements live in eac...

APC 40 For Sale in Australia Minty

Minty, suit new buyer, used once in the studio but doesn't really suit my workflow. Comes with Bonus Ableton branded USB drive and Australian power adaptor.

Re: What would you like to see in APC80 (or whatever it will be

a rotary version (as i have already request) http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/8131/apc40weblarge2.jpg This would have been much more preferable to me than faders you need to ramp up and down to latch on with no visual feedback on their actual position without looking at the computer scr...

Re: What would you like to see in APC80 (or whatever it will be

I like the idea of the full colour LEDs to match the screen. It would be nice if they had text on them too. I did think of this, but the only way to do it would be with a touch screen, which would lose the tactile feel of punching the buttons, or LED scribble strips under each row of buttons which ...

Re: What would you like to see in APC80 (or whatever it will be

Jekblad:- Same amount of buttons is fine, I only came up with the APC80 moniker to insinuate a newer better model not more buttons.
Johnisfaster:- Yeah, Im kind of in 2 minds about the audio I/O. I would happily pay a few hundred bucks more for everything except the audio I/O

What would you like to see in APC80 (or whatever it will be

My wish list:- Motorised faders - I would have happily paid an extra few hundred bucks to have them on the current model. Full colour LEDs - so that clip button colour corresponds to colour assigned in session view. Would make it much easier to navigate scenes and clips. Novation SL style LED scribb...

Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?

My wish list:- 1. Ability to record live controller automation in to session view clips 2. Betting track comping ability ala Logic 8 3.Tape delay plugin - I'm talkin a self oscillating, modulating, wowing, fluttering, stinking of valves behemoth. I find the delays currently built into Ableton much t...

Consiracy theory:- Are the demo's actually analog? Why not include these presets with Ableton? Maybe they used Sylenth1 or something ;) Anyone?
