Re: Does proxy editing wav / mp3 work in Ableton?
I don't convert it and convert it back. I replace the whole source file. I don't know how Live's internal referencing of the decoding cache works. You may want to ask support@ableton and reference this thread. It may be that despite replacing the sources, Live still references your edits to the dec...

Re: Does proxy editing wav / mp3 work in Ableton?
Live doesn't read audio directly from the mp3s anyway. They'll be inflated to the decoding cache first.

Re: Why are some knobs so sensitive?
Has anyone else noticed this? Not too much, may be a matter of mouse speed and/or acceleration. But your examples pick two knobs that are designed differently, at least while the rate knob is in sync mode. The gate knob is a percentage, so click and drag is one fluent motion over the whole range. T...

Re: Live not saving my latest work!
One suggestion just as a precaution to corrupt sets and for incremental backups, perhaps try and save some incremental versions of your work every time you add a new plugin or make significant changes. Just file01.als, file02.als etc. That will at least give you an idea of new file saves and create...

Still there. 15. Mixing See that first image in the chapter? And further down they look at the mixer controls with images of the mixer section in session and arrangement view. Every track that has an audio out will have those little rectangle sliders (marked -inf in the image because they're all the...

Of course it can. Unless pads are member of a choke group. Those of the same group mute each other

Re: My WAV files won't load in ableton
Do they load in other audio applications?
Has any of you tried an audio editor on them that might reveal which (sub)format they are?
WAV, after all, is a container format.

Re: help! very weird problem when creating new audio track
The "Defaults" folder in your User Library contains a "Creating Tracks" folder with subfolders for Audio- and MIDI-Tracks.
You'll find your "cabasa" in the Audio Track folder. Just delete it.
edit:
What chapelier fou describes is how it got there in the first place.

Re: Routing left and right channels to separate balanced outputs
i have activated the two mono output channels in the audio config BUT: in the Master Out dropdown i can only seem to select ONE of these channels, which means the stereo gets converted to mono Read these two sentences very very carefully.
