Re: What feature in live 9 would be a game changer for you
- Snapshots... store every setting for every effect at a moment in time and be able to quickly recall them via MIDI or keystroke (like MainStage has had since 1.0). If you're in playing in a band it's a total pain in the ass to switch songs now. - OSC Mapping the same way MIDI and Key Mapping works ...

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
Get #2. #1 only works with apps that use an API created by Line6. Line6 released the API because Apple hadn't released a MIDI framework for iOS.
Now Apple has, and pretty much all MIDI apps support it with many requiring it, so you should get #2. I'm surprised #1 is still on sale. - Charlie

Re: ControlOSC on HP Touchpad (Android)
Animoog really is amazing. So much fun.
That said, he doesn't want to spend $500 and he seems pretty happy with what he got... sweet!

Re: ControlOSC on HP Touchpad (Android)
Great! Nice to hear it's running on a Touchpad. And yeah, hopefully once they get a Honeycomb ROM running multitouch will work in Control (well, in any app that uses the web rendering engine), although I have heard of tablets where this is not the case, like the Xoom. There is actually a very beta G...

Re: Launching whole sequences from pads?
You could do it in Control (running on an iOS or Android device), but you'd have to write a little javascript. If you don't have any programming experience it might take a few hours and some questions on the forum to figure it out. See my sig if you're interested. - Charlie

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
Hi, Control does this using either MIDI or OSC. It can output the raw rotational rate values and also output pitch, roll and yaw as calculated by Apple's Core Motion framework. Plus, acceleromter / compass etc. See my sig and let me know if you have any questions. - Charlie Anyone know of an app tha...

Re: setting up Osculator with Live
Ahh... OK, there's no MIDI on the Android version yet.
If you're on a tablet you should try Control... unlike TouchOSC it has working multitouch on Android. But you'll have to figure the osculator stuff with either program.

Re: setting up Osculator with Live

It did actually print some more stuff to the console... I guess it just hadn't refreshed the view yet when I looked at it before: ...errors.... Hope that helps... Thanks, I'll have to decipher that after I submit this Thursday. What version of OS X do you use, and is it 32 or 64 bit? Also, (I know ...

Re: BluPad: Bluetooth MIDI Controller for Android
Hmmm... the jar starts and enumerates the MIDI ports on OS X but then immediately crashes. The error message isn't very helpful unfortunately: 8/28/11 11:26:17 AM [0x0-0x119119].com.apple.JarLauncher[35292] Exception in thread "main" java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException 8/28/11 11:2...

Re: BluPad: Bluetooth MIDI Controller for Android
Nice! FYI, OS X has MIDI loopback built into it... no need for external software. Any plans to release the source? The lack of adhoc wifi network support on Android devices means latency is pretty bad over wifi; I'd like to implement some type of bluetooth support into Control and peeking at your co...

Re: Anyone on here code for Apple IOS?
That's intended more for speech than music if I remember correctly, but maybe the quality is good enough? Thanks! wasn't AUPitch added in iOS 5? would make this problem a whole lot easier if you go the AudioUnit way: AUPitch kAudioUnitSubType_Pitch An effect unit that lets you alter the pitch of the...

Re: Anyone on here code for Apple IOS?
quick question for you Charlie... will using a 3rd party lib stop me from having to write something like this? http://downloads.dspdimension.com/smbPitchShift.cpp Looking at that just makes my mind melt!
