Re: Starting a new live set
Delete everything in the demo set until you only have what you want to start out with. After you have it the way you want it, open up preferences and go to the file/folder tab and choose "save current set as default' and everytime you open up Live, it will start you off with the way it is curre...

Re: VIZZIE inside ableton
Can someone help me out?
I can't route video between VIZZable plugins. I can load up clips in PLAYR but can't get the video into and effects or even the VIEWR plugin.
I have tried switching from auto and selecting channels manually but nothing is transferred.

Re: Help with soundcards please? In a soundcards for dummies way
You could plug certain midi controllers into certain soundcards but you should honestly just stick with the way they are currently connected to your computer right now unless the manufacturer says to use actual MIDI ports (not MIDI over USB). If you are only using a pair of headphones and you don't ...

Re: Help with soundcards please? In a soundcards for dummies way
Cool thing with the Macbooks is that the internal soundcard is perfectly fine for personal use. I frequently use mine to demo tracks, brainstorm, and general use with headphones. External soundcards (audio interface) are a necessity for any serious audio work. What's your price range for spending on...

Re: huge alabama tornado close up
Pick your poison. I'm in California which is earthquake country and given the recent global seismic activity I am quite nervous. But at the same time that kind of event is extremely rare and yet people will still be "I could never live there because of earthquakes." Meanwhile they'll live...

Re: Have spectrum analyzer on a second screen
I don't even have 2 screens but i have to agree on this.
If i had a 2nd screen, i would probably dedicate it to spectrum analyzers (somehow) and occasional plug-ins

The storm from it was crazy last night! That thing started in Alabama and made its way through Georgia (where i live).
Several places were out of power and i also heard that several small buildings were demolished from it.

Re: mac users (do you secretly laugh at us pc users)
Honestly, computer choice is the last thing on my mind when I go see some people perform. I chose my laptop because of my own specific reasons. I don't need to preach to people about how macs are super magical devices that shit out gold or try to convert them to the mac platform. I feel like the PC ...

Re: LCD TV as PC Monitor?
I have done this a couple of times at a friends house. I gotta admit, something about looking at a screen from 3+ yards away is a lot more comfortable than being only a few feet away.FrankieP wrote:
