Re: Playing Live Gigs - Your solution ...
My workaround involves using two laptops. I use one in conjunction with my APC40 for more in depth songs, and the second utilizes my KorgNano series controllers and less complicated, seque type tracks. This also allows me to breath a little easier if something goes down, I still have another system ...

Re: Making music for TV
You could try a service such as Taxi. It's a middleman, but they have hundreds if not thousands of listings of Movies, TV, or even producers looking for songs to use. It is around $300 a year, so it does turn in to a bit of a comittment.

Re: Crossfading bass frequencies
I think that may do it. And thanks, now instead of bass, I have the urge to toy with the full 8 bands. There goes countless hours I coulda spent watching internet pr0n. But seriously, thanks.

Crossfading bass frequencies
Forgive my lack of search skills, I looked, but came up empty handed. My DJ template in Live uses the Smart Mixing Template by Bento San, I would like to crossfade just specific frequencies - namely bass, while keeping the rest of the frequencies in the mix. Is this possible? I've tried using an EQ3...

Re: Preperation vs. Freestyle
Thank you Juan. I greatly appreciate the advice. I had thought of saving different mix outs / scenes and just dropping those into the set as needed, gonna have to give that a go now.

Preperation vs. Freestyle
Everytime I am booked for a gig, I will spend countless hours preparing a set list, I use Mixed in Key when/where I can, warp my tracks, set loop points, set up samples, I mean I put some time into it, and EVERYTIME, the set list is usually scrapped within the first hour of playing, and the dance fl...

Re: APC40 DJ setup question for Loop Braces
I think you misunderstand - I don't know everything about ableton. But everything I know is from reading and researching and trial and error. What you NEED is to remove your head from you sphincter and maybe try the search function, cuz you seem to be totally against reading a manual. That is all I'...

Re: APC40 DJ setup question for Loop Braces
Actually, yah, I did learn what I know on my own. I read the manual, I used the search function, hell I just trolled for hours, reading, learning and applying. Only AFTER reading the manual or searching did I ask a question, and to be honest I'm not sure theres more than one I did put forth here. He...

Using the Camelot System with Ableton ???
Ok, So I've found the Mixed in Key program and the accompanying Camelot Wheel very helpful. I need a little info here tho....So if I have a track keyed @ 2B (F-Sharp Major) one step down would be F Major right? Is this done using the "Transpose" function in Live? I am workin on a remix and...
